    • PURPOSE:To bend a long body along a curved part with a high precision by finding out by calculation an additional bending angle by which the long body is bent from a prescribed bending angle and bending the long body further by the found out additional angle. CONSTITUTION:A tube 11 is bent by a prescribed angle while it is abutted on the curved part 15 and straight part 16 of a rotary die 13. When no pressurizing force is applied on the rotary die by shifting a moving die 23 toward parting direction from the rotary die, a first repulsive force F1 of the tube 11 is measured by a first detecting means between the rotary die 13 and the straight part 16. Then, the moving die 23 is shifted toward parting direction by a prescribed shifting amount and a second repulsive force F2 is measured by a second detecting means between the moving die 23 and a moving piece 22. As the results, the additional angle DELTAtheta2 by which the tube is further bent from the prescribed angle is found by calculation. Thus, the tube is always abutted on the curved part of the rotary die when it is bent.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the size of structure of a rotating machine provided with a rotor which is driven to rotate at a high speed and moreover to obtain high output. SOLUTION: In a rotor 3 of the rotating machine, coupled directly with a gas turbine 19, a columnar permanent magnet piece 4 is fixed with shrinkage fit within a holding cylinder 5 consisting of a magnetic material having a low permeability and a large mechanical strength. The permanent magnet piece 4 is provided with a pair of magnetic N, S poles 33, 34 in the circumferential direction at an interval of 180 degrees. A stator 2 has a fully closed slot 11 with the inclusion of a yoke 7 coaxial to the rotor 3, a teeth 8, extending in the internal side in the radial direction from the yoke 7 and a coupling piece 10 for coupling the teeth 8. A cooling air is guided to the slot 11 and/or to the yoke and this cooling air is absorbed with a compressor 26 of the gas turbine 19. A holding cylinder 5 is magnetically saturated in the area between the poles 36 of the permanent magnet piece 4, to control the leakage magnetic flux.
