摘要： PURPOSE:To obtain a two-layer medium for perpendicular magnetic recording by depositing several layers of Co-Cr alloy having specific grain size. CONSTITUTION:Since the medium noise largely depends on the grain size of Co-Cr layers, the Co-Cr layers are formed in several processes with intervals for cooling to obtain the desired grain size. When the grain size is 500Angstrom or less, a two-layer medium having high sensitivity and high CN ratio can be obtained. For example, a 0.5mum thick NiFe film is formed on a 50mum thick polyimide film by RE sputtering, and then a 0.15mum thick Co-Cr film is formed with specified sputtering pressure and power. The medium is cooled by Ar gas and the second layer of Co-Cr with 0.15mum thickness is formed under the same conditions as the first layer.

摘要： PURPOSE:To attain the long life of a tape by driving and travelling a belt by two pulleys having shafts in a direction orthogonal with the inclination direction of a slit so as to move a head disposed in the endless belt in the inclined slit and pressing on the back face of a plate by a pressing plate. CONSTITUTION:At the time of loading the magnetic tape 1, the linear tape 1 is simply advanced by a guide post 2 to contact the surface of a plate 3. At the time of starting to travel the tape 1, the endless belt 4 is driven and travelled by a motor 5C through the pulleys 5, 6. Then, one of the head 7 disposed at the endless belt 4 contacts the magnetic core with the end thereof with the tape 1 and is driven and travelled in the slit 3C of the plate 3. According to a signal fed to a signal line, a recording and reproducing by a helical scanning is carried out. When one of the head 7 completes scanning one track of the tape 1, the next track is scanned by the next head 7.

摘要： PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of the twist and elongation of a thin tape by transferring a tape by touching to the tape with a face contact on the whole by the surface wave of a vibration body. CONSTITUTION:Tape transfer parts 1, 2, i.e., tape driving device is composed by arranging a set of piezoelectric elements 11, 12 on which the alternate voltage of different phase is impressed by alternate power sources Ea, Eb on a supporting body 10 by adjoining each other a lot. And a progressing wave (surface wave) is generated on the surface of the piezoelectric element groups 11, 12 and by bringing a tape 4 into pressurized contact with this surface it is transferred by giving to the tape 4 a vibration in the reverse direction to the progressing direction of the surface wave. The twist and meandering of the tape is thus prevented to enable a stable traveling even in the case of a thin tape by driving the tape with vibration.

The numbers of lines scanned during the Hs for 6-times of head switchings is made differ from these numbers, and to make such numbers as dividable in frame unit. As a result, the periodic characteristic in frame unit can be obtained.

摘要： PURPOSE:To attain the extra-high density recording and the highly efficient reproducing by magnetically recording and reproducing data on a high coercive force magnetic thin film strip on a recording track in the width direction. CONSTITUTION:A discoid magnetic recording medium 5 is provided with the high coercive force magnetic thin film strip 6 on a nonmagnetic base 4, and the high coercive force magnetic thin film strip 7 contacting the strip 6 at one side between adjacent strips 6 by interposing a nonmagnetic guard band 8, whereby a recording track is constituted. Magetization is given in the width direction of the strip 6 to execute recording. Then flux of a magnetic pole piece 11 when data is recorded on the medium 5 through the use of a magnetic recording and reproducing head 14 converges at a position facing a magnetic pole piece 10 in the strip 7. The convergence magnetic flux goes toward a magnetic pole piece 10 through the strip 6. Since the width of the magnetic pole piece 10 is narrow and its flux passes through a film having high magnetic permeability, the flux sharply convergences, thereby executing recording at a high density.

The range of tape 7 wound on the cylinder 3 is a small range of about 1/n of the full circumference of the cylinder 3. Accordingly, the tape running is made stable and tape mounting is made easier. Further, by corresponding one revolution of the rotary cylinder to the video signal for one field's share, slow motion picture, still picture can easily and surely be made.
