    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust gas collecting performance determining device can accurately determine collecting performance of particulates in an exhaust gas by a filter means provided for an exhaust system of an internal combustion engine.
      SOLUTION: This exhaust gas collecting performance judging device 1 includes: a pressure difference detecting means 17 for detecting the difference ΔPdpf between the pressures on the upstream and downstream sides of the filter means 3; a storage means 21 for storing a predetermined number of pressure differences ΔPdpf detected by the pressure difference detecting means 17 in each of the subranges of the operation range divided into a plurality of subregions by the operation condition dvol of the internal combustion engine 2; and a determining means 22 for calculating the pressure difference characteristic of the filter means 3 with respect to the operating state of the internal combustion engine 2 based on the relation between each of the stored pressure differences ΔPdpf and the operation condition dvol when the pressure difference ΔPdpf is detected after the predetermined number of pressure differences ΔPdpf in all the subranges are stored by the storage means 21, and judging whether or not the filter means 3 has abnormality on the basis of the calculated pressure difference characteristic.
