摘要： PURPOSE:To prevent the CSS damage of a disk by forming bearing surfaces by using an in-liquid lapping method in such a manner that the peaks and valleys of the surfaces have adequate steps and are repeated at adequate pitches. CONSTITUTION:The surfaces, which face magnetic recording media, of the floating type magnetic head 10 made of a polycrystalline material, i.e. the bearing surfaces 2 to 4 are so provided with rugged by using the in-liquid lapping method that these surfaces are the surfaces having 50 to 200Angstrom in average of the difference (d) in the depth between the peaks 28 and the valleys 29 and 5 to 20mum in average of the repetitive pitch (e) of the peaks 28 and the valleys 29 and in which the parts 30 of the abruptly changing height between the peaks 28 and the valleys 29 extend along the grain boundaries 42 of crystals 31 to 41. The coefft. of static friction with the disk is decreased in this way and the both the disk and head surfaces are resistant to flawing in spite of the execution of repetitive contact start and stop (CSS); in addition, the durability is improved.

In such a way, even if the track width becomes smaller in order to improve the recording density, it does not occur that the gap part is cracked, and the core is chipped or broken.

摘要： PURPOSE:To prevent damage to a winding by decreasing the width of an opening at a side face more than the width of a winding part and providing a flange part having a hole corresponding to the opening of both ends and a taper notch becoming wider in succession to the hole to both ends of a prism main body. CONSTITUTION:A main body 5a of a coil bobbin 5 is formed cylindrical to have a hollow prism cross section corresponding to the cross section of a winding part 2b of the magnetic head core 2 and the opening is provided to the total length of the winding groove side 2a at the side face in operation. Then the width W of the opening is formed a little smaller than the width T of the winding part 2b. A hole 5c having a shape and size corresponding to the square opening of the ends is given to both ends of the prism main body 5a and a notch 5d having a shape spread wider toward the edge in the width W of the opening in succession to the hole 5c is formed to the flange part 2b. Thus, in mounting the coil bobbin 5 on the winding part 2b, when the opening is pushed toward the winding part 2b, the opening is opened so that the width W is equal to the width T of the winding part 2b to offer ease of fit.

摘要： PURPOSE:To increase the adhesion strength of the titled core by providing a groove to both sides of an adhering part of a gimbal at the rear face of the core in parallel with the adhering part. CONSTITUTION:Grooves each having width of 0.1-0.3mm and depth of 0.1-0.3mm in parallel with an adhered position 1d are provided to both sides of the adhered part 1d (part of a rear face 1b of core 1) adhered to the gimbal 3 to the core 1 by means of a resin in the core 1. In adhering the core 1 to the gimbal 3 by the resin, an escaping part for the resin is provided and the escaped resin is poured into the grooves 5. As a result, the escaped resin is not in contact with the rear face of the gimbal 3 and the adhesion strength is improved. The processing of the grooves 5 is very easy, the material loss is less and the core 1 with high adhesion strength with the gimbal 3 is easily obtained.

Since the break of coatings at the time of winding is prevented, accidents such as short-circuit do not occur, and a magnetic head of high reliability and high quality which performs good recording and reproducing is obtained.

摘要： PURPOSE:To relax a sticking phenomenon which occurs on a head and a disk face by forming a prescribed ruggedness on the face opposite to the magnetic recording medium of a floating magnetic head. CONSTITUTION:A narrow bearing face 4 is provided like a projecting stripe in parallel with main bearing faces 2 and 3 at the center of a slider 1, and a core 6 is joined to the rear end part of the bearing face 4 through a magnetic gap 5. The surfaces of the bearing faces 2-4 are worked so that they may have a specific roughness. On the bearing faces, a mountain 28 and a valley 29 appear alternately and between the mountain 28 and the valley 29 is a part 30 where height changes suddenly. The part of the cliff 30 exists along a grain boundary 42 of crystals 31-41, the mean value of differences (d) of the mountains 28 and the valleys 29 is 50-20Angstrom and pitch (e) of the repetition of the mountains and valleys is 5-20mum. Thus, adhesion generated between the disk and the magnetic head can be decreased.

This spot welding has been performed to positions 21a, 21b, 21c and 21d of four parts marked with (x) in the figure in the past, but performed to total five parts by adding spot welding 22, too, marked with (O). Also, by setting the total area of the welded part to >=10% of a closely superposed part of the gimbal 3 and the load arm 1, a resonance point is changed, and also, the displacement in the resonance point can be attenuated. Also, a vibration generated at the time of start and at the time of stop of the disk 5 can also be attenuated greatly, and the head device has a stable electromagnetic conversion characteristic.

摘要： PURPOSE:To obtain stable electromagnetic transducing characteristics by providing a notch to a flat face inbetween a load arm and folding a connecting part to vary a resonance point thereby attenuating the displacement at the resonance point. CONSTITUTION:The long folded parts 1g are provided to a flat face 1d between a tip and base 1a of the load arm 1 1a in a direction of a ridge 1b formed to the load arm 1, that is, along the ridge 1b at the opposite side of 1 disk. The folded part 1g is formed by notching the flat face 1d of the load arm 1 and providing a long U-shape notch 1e and folding the connecting part 1f to the flat face 1d to the ridge 1b. Thus, the resonance point is varied and the resonance level is attenuated to obtain stable electromagnetic transducing characteristics.
