摘要： PURPOSE:To heighten the strength and performance of a positive electrode, by adding prescribed quantities of a carbon and a fluorine resin to an electroconductive high-molecular substance for the positive electrode. CONSTITUTION:2-40wt% of carbon and 2-40wt% of a fluorine resin are added to an electroconductive high-molecular substance for a positive electrode. Although the fluorine resin acts as a binder for the electroconductive high- molecular substance, the electric insulating property of the fluorine resin would be likely to decrease the electric conductivity of the positive electrode. For that reason, the carbon of high electric conductivity is added to the electroconductive high-molecular substance to suppress the decrease in the electric conductivity of the whole positive electrode. The strength and performance of the positive electrode are thus heightened.

摘要： PURPOSE:To reduce self discharge and lengthen discharge life by using a conductive polymer and electrolyte which have a specified constitution. CONSTITUTION:A conductive polymer is polyaniline whose molar ratio of hydrogen to carbon is 0.75-0.85 and having an anion structure in its principal chain. Electrolyte is prepared by dissolving a double salt of lithium in a mixture solvent of propylene carbonate and ether. Anions are doped by charge and undoped by discharge. This means that anions are released from polyaniline. Thereby, self discharge of a battery is reduced and discharge life is lengthened.

CONSTITUTION:In a secondary battery where a cationic-radical-salt-type macromolecular compound is used as the positive active material, the diameter of anions contained in the liquid electrolyte is made smaller than the diameter of anions contained in an aqueous solution used for oxidative synthesis of the cationic-radical-salt-type macromolecular compound or anions contained in the positive active material. As a result, during charge and discharge migration of anions contained in the liquid electrolyte is facilitated and a high current density is achieved. Polyaniline and an aniline derivative polymer can be used as the cation-radical-salt-type macromolecular compound.

摘要： PURPOSE:To heighten the density of energy and lengthen life of rechargeability, by providing an active material made of anions in the main and contained in an electrolyte to be transferred between both electrodes. CONSTITUTION:A secondary cell comprises a positive and a negative electrodes and an electrolyte. The positive electrode is made of an electroconductive high- molecular substance. The negative electrode is made of a metal. In the charging of the cell, anions are released into the electrolyte from a metal salt produced on the negative electrode as a result of the combination of the metal, and the anions are taken from the electrolyte into the electroconductive high-molecular substance on the positive electrode. In the discharge of the cell, the anions taken into the electroconductive high-molecular substance are released into the electrolyte on the positive electrode to produce the metal and the salt. Since not a metal dissolving/educing reaction on the negative electrode but the transfer of the anions and the reaction with the metal are utilized, the metal for the negative electrode needs to be such that the solubility of the salt made of the metal and the anions is low. The electrolyte is a saturated one in which a salt of a metal of higher ionizability than that for the negative electrode is dissolved.

摘要： PURPOSE:To achieve a high density of electrical current, by previously subjecting a high-molecular electrode to doping and anti-doping with ions of large radium in a different electrolyte solution. CONSTITUTION:A battery comprises a positive electrode 1, a negative electrode 2 and an electrolyte 3. A nonwoven fabric of polypropylene or the like is sandwiched between the electrodes 1, 2 to prevent a short circuit. The nonwoven fabric is impregnated with the electrolyte 3. The high-molecular electrodes having a conjugate double bond in the main chain is previously subjected to doping and anti-doping with ions of large radius to provide the electrode with internal voids through which ions can pass. The battery is then charged and discharged with ions of small radius. Since the ion diffusion voids are large, the speed of ion diffusion is increased to greatly enhance the density of electrical current in the charging and discharge of the battery.
