    • PURPOSE:To reduce the circuit scale and to prevent the impossibility of data processing for reproducing from being erroneously recognized as trouble with respect to recording and reproducing of still picture data in a recording medium like a card. CONSTITUTION:Input still picture data is compressed by a DCT circuit 2, a quantizing circuit 3, and an encoding circuit 4 and is recorded in the recording medium like a card by a card connector 6. A specific table conforming to JPEG is set in the quantizing circuit 3 and the encoding circuit 4. When data is reproduced from the recording medium like a card, data read out from it is processed in a code decoder circuit 7, an inverse quantizing circuit 9, and an IDCT circuit 11 to obtain the original picture. Meanwhile, information of an encoding table and quantization table added to this data are detected by an encoding table detecting circuit 8 and a quantization table detecting circuit 10. If they are different from those set to the encoding circuit 4 and the quantizing circuit 3 and the data processing is impossible, a warning display circuit 13 gives a warning.

A sound signal is supplied to a time base compression circuit 30 and compressed by time base for each time length equivalent to one field at the timing similar to the above- mentioned one. The synthetic signal of a luminance FM modulation signal, reduction conversion chrominaticity signal, sound FM modulation signal, and pilot signal is alternately supplied to video heads 38A and 38B for each one field and recorded on a magnetic tape 39.

Thus, malfunction of initial operation due to noise is prevented and the phase of a frequency divider 2 is transferred momentarily to the phase of the recovered horizontal synchronizing signal A.

    • PURPOSE:To utilize electric charges stored in a sensor effectively and to improve the resolution and sensitivity at field picture recording by adopting one-line readout drive in the case of frame picture recording and frame sensitivity for the changeover of sensitivity and adopting 2-line readout drive in the case of field picture recording and field sensitivity for the changeover of sensitivity. CONSTITUTION:When a field/frame SW is thrown to the position of the field, a control circuit 8 switches the sensitivity of an exposure control circuit 24 to the field sensitivity and a camera circuit 5 also selects a field signal processing. After the end of exposure by the opening/closing of a shutter 21, a drive circuit 4 applies 2-line readout, a field picture is extracted from a sensor 3 and recorded in a recording section 6 through the camera circuit 5. Since signals from two photodiodes of (2n+1) and (2n+2) lines are read out, the signal charges obtained by photoelectric conversion are doubled and then the sensitivity is improved. Since the G component is included in picture element pitches in the horizontal direction, that is, in all columns of m, (m+1), the horizontal resolution is improved.
