摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device which has pixels with improved response speed of a liquid crystal and of which an opening ratio of the pixel is improved. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device has sectioned first and second regions in a pixel region. The respective regions are formed by being surrounded by first and second electrodes. The first and second electrodes respectively have a long first electrode part and a short second electrode part. The first electrode part and the second electrode part are connected to each other by forming an obtuse angle between them. The respective second electrode parts of the first and second electrodes are disposed so as to form two edges farthest from each other in the respective regions. 摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a liquid crystal display device in which unnecessary power consumption in supplying an image signal to a drain signal line is drastically reduced and damage by static electricity is adequately prevented. SOLUTION: In the liquid crystal display device in which each of pixel columns provided in row arrangement in one direction has each of pixels provided in row arrangement in a direction intersecting the one direction and disposed in a matrix, each of the pixel columns is selected with a scanning signal and an image signal is supplied to each of the pixels in each of the selected pixel column, a drain signal line to supply the image signal is disposed so as to intersect a gate signal line to supply the scanning signal and the scanning signal is supplied to each gate signal line via a switch which is turned on with a signal scanned by a driving circuit. The liquid crystal display device is constructed in such a way that each gate signal line is turned off with an off signal in the case the scanning signal is scanned and supplied to the next gate signal line, and in the case the scanning signal is supplied to the next gate signal line, the gate signal line to which the second previous scanning signal is supplied is made to be in a floating state, and further each gate signal line is connected to a signal line to which the off signal is supplied via a part in which it is made to be in the floating state and a diode. The second sealing agent 6B is formed on the outer periphery of the lower substrate 1 (chain line frame in figure 6) and an air exhaust hole 13 is made in the sealing agent 6B near the liquid crystal injection holes.
