    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an ultrasonic signal processor in which a circuit scale is reduced and by which a good digitized composite beam is formed by a method wherein, in the case of the frequency movement and phasing system of a digitized signal, a delay processing operation is performed, a frequency movement processing operation is then performed, a cumulative processing operation is performed, a phase-difference correction processing operation is performed and an addition processing operation in all channels is performed. SOLUTION: In a medical diagnosis or the like, respective received signals from a plurality of ultrasonic vibrators are processed such as amplified or the like, they are then A/D-converted by an ADCs 100, they are input to delay means 119 such as RAMs or the like so as to adjust a time difference up to every focus point. Signals from the means 119 are changed into signals having the central frequency of the ultrasonic received signals by first waveform correction means 101, and they are multiplied so as to be shifted to a baseband. Signals from the means 101 are bit- enhanced by cumulative means 102 each of which is constituted of a latch or an adder. Their S/N ratio is increased, and their phase difference is corrected by second waveform conversion means 118 each of which is constituted of a multiplier and an adder. The signals are added in all channels, a received beam is obtained, and a composite received beam at a small circuit scale can be formed by a time sharing operation.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a satisfactory ultrasonic beam by detecting the center frequencies of received signals so as to take a deviation in time (corresponding to a depth) of center frequencies into consideration and control a delay or a phase process based upon the center frequency. SOLUTION: Arrayed ultrasonic vibrators 12 to a number of (n) receive signals with wave front arrival time difference from an objective focus point, and an amplifier 13 amplifies the received signals which are then digitized and are then delivered to a delaying part 10 where the wave fronts are aligned. Thereafter, they are added on an adder 11 so as to obtain an ultrasonic wave beam. Further, at this stage, in means 15 (15a to 15c) for obtaining a center frequency, center frequencies detected at respective received wave focusing stages, are delivered to a control part 16 which delivers focus date to a delaying part 10 or an A/D converter 1 so as to carry out delaying/phase-processing. With this arrangement, it is adjusted at the center frequency which varies with time in depending upon a depth, thereby affection upon the ultrasonic beam caused by a deviation of the ultrasonic waves is eliminated.
