    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent reduction in an effective printing speed and to reduce the size of an opening/closing mechanism and the cost by executing the opening/ closing operations of a heating roll and a backup roll, after transient stopping at a position just before the heating roll and a paper come into contact with each other. SOLUTION: When a printing start command is issued from a host device 16, a motor 15 is driven clockwise. When a sensor 27 for detecting the position just before the heating roll 9 and the paper come into contact with each other is turned on, a middle position is obtained and the driving of the motor 15 is transiently stopped. Then, the motor 15 is driven clockwise again and when the sensor 27 for detecting the contact state of the heating roll 9 with the paper 5 is turned on, the motor 15 is stopped. After that, the feeding of the paper is started to start, a printing operation. When printing is stopped, a printing stop command is issued from the host device and the motor 15 is driven counterclockwise. When the middle position as the position just before the heating roll 9 and the paper 5 come into contact with each other is obtained, the sensor 27 is turned on to transiently stop the driving of the motor 15.

    • PURPOSE:To provide a toner supply control system capable of being used within a range near a toner density set value for supplying a toner of a two-constituent developer constituted of the toner and a magnetic carrier in an electrophotographic system. CONSTITUTION:A two-constituent developer 3 is scraped from a magnetic roll 5 by a scraping member 10 in a developing device 1, then it is brought into contact with a toner 4 supplied by the toner supplying shaft 8 of a toner supply section 7 and dropped into a mixing chamber 13. The dropped two-constituent developer 3 passes below a mixing chamber forming member 12 by its own weight, then it is lifted by the magnetic roll 5 and converted into a uniform magnetic brush by a shaping member 6, and it is developed on a photoreceptor 11. The toner supply section 7 is constituted of the toner supplying shaft 8, a toner storage container 15, and a stirring member 9, a fixed quantity of toner is discriminated by a toner density detector 14, the toner supplying shaft 8 is rotated for a fixed period, and the scraped quantity of toner is supplied through a groove.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent failure of starting after long idle running and to feed oil in accordance with the width of paper by changing the driving period of plural oil pumps supplying oil to oil-impregnated material wiping off the dirt of toner on a heat roll which is divided in the width direction. CONSTITUTION:Dirt due to toner which is generated on the heat roll 2 fixing a toner image on paper 1 is wiped off by the oil-impregnated agent 4. During the idle running of the roll 2, oil included in a contact part between the roll 2 and the oil-impregnated agent 4 is dried because of the high temperature of the roll 2. Therefore, a valve 5 is opened every prescribed timing to drive an oil pump 6 and supply oil to an oil tank 7, so that the oil is prevented from being dried. At the time of printing, only a pump feeding oil to a part contacting with the paper 1 out of plural pumps 6 is driven at a proper timing period in accordance with paper width information detected by a paper width detecting means. Thus, the generation of the failure of starting of the roll 2 after long idle running is prevented and the proper quantity of oil corresponding to the width of the paper to be used can be fed.
