    • PURPOSE:To provide the title unit enabling the surface of a spinneret to be easily cleaned off in troubles due to e.g. stains on said spinneret, so designed as to provide a means for regulating the angle of the surface of a tube-in-orifice type spinneret against the level of a coagulating solution. CONSTITUTION:A means for regulating the angle of the level of a coagulating solution 10 against the surface of a tube in-orifice type spinneret 3 to deliver a spinning dope into a coagulating bath 9 is provided; when a hollow fiber membrane 8 is to be produced, the spinneret 3 is made to be parallel to the surface of the coagulating solution 10, and when the surface of the spinneret is to be cleaned, said surface is tilted to ensure a worker to directly, easily observe said surface, and after completion of the cleaning, said surface is returned to the position parallel to the coagulating solution 10, thus proceeding with spinning operation. When the spinneret surface is to be cleaned, the angle of said surface against the coagulating solution is pref. 30-45 deg.. The regulative means is made up by e.g. a supporting shaft 2, a bearing 4 and a fixing screw 5.

    • PURPOSE: To prepare a cellulose ether having high degree of substitution useful as an optically resolving reagent, etc. by one stage reaction, by reacting a homogeous solution of a cellulose acetate in an organic solvent with a specific etherifying reagent in the presence of a base.
CONSTITUTION: A cellulose acetate (e.g., cellulose diacetate, etc.) having ≥2.0° of substitution, preferably 2.0W2.6° of substitution is dissolved in an organic solvent (e.g., 1,4-dioxane, THF, etc.), and reacted with an etherifying agent (e.g., benzyl chloride, 4,-chloromethylpyridine, etc.) shown by the formula RCH
2 X (R is aromatic group, heteroaromatic group, vinyl, acetyl, or their substituted group; X is Cl, or Br) in the presence of a base such as KOH, NaOH, etc., to give the desired ether having a high degree of substitution (preferably ≥2.5° of substitution).

    • PURPOSE:To obtain an arranged hollow yarn bundle having no problem such as the damage of hollow yarn or the deficiency of the number of hollow yarns by a method wherein a permselective hollow yarn bundle is suspended while the upper end part thereof is held and a bundle arranging solution is supplied to the upper end part of the hollow yarn bundle from a bundle arranging solution tank. CONSTITUTION:A permselective hollow yarn bundle 1 is suspended while the upper end part thereof is held by a yarn bundle fixing part 2. The bundle arranging solution in a bundle arranging solution tank 4 is supplied to the upper end part of the hollow yarn bundle 1 fixed by the yarn bundle fixing part 2 from a bundle arranging solution emitting port 8 by a liquid supply pump 5. The hollow yarn bundle arranged by this apparatus becomes well in its appearance. This apparatus also solves a problem such as the damage of hollow yarn or the deficiency of the number of hollow yarns accompanied by conventional bundle arranging work.
