摘要： A technique which contributes to improvement of usability is provided in a power tool having a dust suction device for sucking dust generated during operation. The power tool performs a predetermined operation by using a tool bit 119 and has a grip part 181 and a dust suction device 250. The dust suction device 250 has a dust suction part 251 that extends in an axial direction of the tool bit 119 and sucks and collects dust generated during operation at a tip of the tool bit, and the dust suction part 251 can be moved between a first position in which the dust suction part covers a bit tip 119a of the tool bit 119 and a second position in which the bit tip 119a is exposed. The dust suction device 250 further has an operation mode switching mechanism 253 that is capable of switching between a first operation mode in which the dust suction part is allowed to move between the first and second positions and a second operation mode in which the dust suction part is locked in the second position, and the operation mode switching mechanism 253 is provided in a region of the grip part 181 or its vicinity such that it can be operated with a user's hand holding the grip part.

摘要：【課題】加工作業時に生ずる粉塵を集塵する吸塵装置を備えた作業工具において、操作性の向上に資する技術を提供する。【解決手段】工具ビット119を用いて加工作業を行う作業工具であって、把持部181と、吸塵装置250を有し、吸塵装置250は、工具ビット119の長軸方向に延在し、かつ、工具ビット先端の加工作業時に発生する粉塵を吸引・集塵する粉塵吸引部251を有し、粉塵吸引部251は、工具ビット119の先端部分119aを覆う第1位置と、先端部分119aを露出させる第2位置との間で移動可能としている。また、第1位置と第2位置間での粉塵吸引部の移動を許容する第1モードと、粉塵吸引部を前記第2位置に停止する第2モードとの間でモードを切り替えるモード切替機構253を更に有しており、モード切替機構253は、把持部181または把持部近傍領域であって、作業者が把持時に操作可能な領域に設けられている作業工具。
