SOLUTION: The weight member 100 for the curtain attached to the inside of the hem part of the curtain includes a rod wire material 110 disposed according to the hanging direction of the curtain and a fiber material 130 heat-sealed covering the rod wire material 110 and surrounding the periphery of the rod wire material. The rod wire material 110 is a zinc line having a specific gravity of 7.14, made of zinc having a purity of not less than 98.5%, which has a line diameter in the cross-sectional direction of 1.3-3.0 mm, and has an approach path part 111 extending according to the hanging direction X of the curtain and a return path part 112 extending according to the hanging direction X of the curtain.
