    • PURPOSE:To obtain sintered parts which are coated with foil-like powder on the surface an are provided with the characteristic of the coating material by adding the raw material forming the 2nd phase and consisting essentially of the foil- like powder to raw material powder constituting a matrix and sintering the powder. CONSTITUTION:A raw material forming the 2nd phase is added and mixed in the form of foil-like powder to and with the raw material powder for powder metallurgy forming a matrix. The green compact obtd. by compressing such powdermixture is sintered, by which the sintered parts coated with the 2nd phase formed of the foil-like powder on the surface are obtd. The sintered parts having high rust preventiveness or corrosion resistance are obtd. by adding the foil- like powder at 10-50% in the case of using, for example, a ferrous material for the matrix and copper or copper alloy for the 2nd phase. The ferrous sintered parts which have the surface made into a blue copper color, etc. and have high merchandise value in appearance are obtd. by making use of the difference in the color toner between the above-described two materials.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain composite materials of good performance having both mechanical rigidity and special characteristics inexpensively by press sticking a powder material having special characteristics on the outside periphery of a core material provided with tooth shapes or rugged parts then sintering the same. CONSTITUTION:Rolling rolls 2a, 2b are disposed on both sides of a core material 1 and some gaps (x), (x) are provided between the rolls and tooth-shaped parts 1' provided on the outside periphery of the material 1. Raw material powder 5 is fed from a feed pipe 4 through a powder chuting feeder 3 provided above the gaps and is dropped between the material 1 and the roll 2b. The rolls 2a, 2b are rotated respectively in directions W, Z, and the powder is filled in the gap (x), by which the material 1 is rotated in a direction Y. Then, the raw material powder is compression molded while the powder is intruded into the parts 1'. When the rolling is continued for a specified time, a green compact 6 of a suitable thickness is formed on the periphery of the material, 1 by press-contacting. The material is sintered by heating, whereby the composite sintered material is obtained.

    • PURPOSE:To avoid copper expansion at the time of sintering and to increase sintering density and magnetic flux density by a method wherein an adding method of copper for an iron-copper sintering material is applied to copper infiltration for a simple iron sintered body. CONSTITUTION:As to magnetic flux density B25 comparing a pure simple iron sintered body with a body infiltrating copper with the amount becoming 7.5- 7.7g/cm of flux after infiltration into the holes of the sintered body, the former has slightly superior magnetic flux density. However, an almost equal increase in magnetic flux density is recognized as sintering density increases. Performance exceeding 10KG is usually requested, the density of the sintered body meeting the above performance becomes 6.6g/cm or more. Meanwhile, as to coercive force, copper infiltrated body has superior coercive force. More density of a base material rapidly increases cost of production. Furthermore, vital coersive force decreases. Therefore, it is regarded as appropriate that the upper limit of sintering density is limited to 7.4g/cm even if magnetic flux is considered.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain iron-copper-base sintered parts which are firmly joined into one body by combining a green compact provided with boss parts contg. substantially no B and a green compact provided with hole parts contg. B above prescribed ratio, both of which consist essentially of iron and copper respectively and sintering the combined green compacts. CONSTITUTION:Of the above-mentioned two green compacts to be joined, the green compact provided with bosses is of the compsn. contg. essentially of iron and copper and contg. no B or contg. =0.03% B. Both are fitted to each other and are sintered, whereby intended iron-copper-base sintered parts are obtained. In other words, the former expands on progression of sintering for the characteristics of the iron-copper- type green compact, but the latter shrinks by suppressing the copper expansion phenomenon by the effect of B. Since the sintering progresses while the joining surfaces of both are held in tight contact with each other, the iron-copper sintered parts which are firmly joined to one vody are obtained.
