    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting device for an electrodeless discharge lamp, which can prevent occurrence of lamp flickering caused by electromagnetic interference. SOLUTION: The electric bulb type electrodeless fluorescent lamp has a luminous tube 170 in which luminescence gas is enclosed, a high frequency lighting circuit 200 including an induction coil 165, and a base connected electrically with the high frequency lighting circuit 200, wherein the luminous tube 170, the high frequency lighting circuit 200 and the base are configured in one body. The high frequency lighting circuit 200 has a detecting circuit 180 which detects that the high frequency lighting circuit 200 is under an abnormal condition caused by the electromagnetic interference between the induction coil 165 and an electrically conductive member existing outside the luminous tube 170, and a shutdown circuit 190 which shuts down the high frequency lighting circuit 200 with a detected signal from the detecting circuit 180. SOLUTION: This cold cathode fluorescence flat lamp (CCFFL) 100 has a cavity 102, a fluorescence material 106, exhaust gas 104, at least one first electrode pair 108 and at least one second electrode pair 110.
