    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a space and save energy by meeting fluid which circulates in a second circuit which uses the fluid as a heating medium and fluid which circulates in a first circuit which uses the fluid as a cooling medium, inputting them, dividing the stream into the first circuit and the second circuit, and outputting them. SOLUTION: Water circulates as a heat medium in a cooling water circuit and a hot water circuit. This water acts as cooling water in the cooling water circuit to cool a motor for running 11 and an inverter 13, acts as hot water in the hot water circuit, and is heat-exchanged by a hot water heat exchanger 23 to generate hot air. A pump 27 is used in common in both of the cooling water circuit and the hot water circuit, meets the water from both circuits, inputs it, divides it into both circuits, and outputs it to circulate the water. Since the water is circulated in respective circuits by one pump 27 as mentioned above, it is possible to reduce the size of the whole circuit formed by combining the drive system cooling water circuit and the air conditioning system hot water circuit.

    • PURPOSE:To ensure the detection of insufficient coolant and to prevent a compressor from being damaged, by disengaging an electromagnetic clutch when such a condition that temperature of engine cooling water exceeds a predetermined value while the suction pressure of the compressor is below a predetermined value continues for a predetermined time. CONSTITUTION:When a cooling and heating change-over switch 5 is turned to a contact 5a, a device for preventing a vehicle heat-pump type heater from being operated in a coolant leaking condition is turned on. Further, a water temperature sensor 7 is closed when the temperature of engine cooling water exceeds a predetermined value, and accordingly, electrical current is fed to an electromagnetic clutch 4 from a battery 6 through a relay 1 to drive a coolant compressor 101 so as to effect heating operation. Meanwhile, a pressure sensor 3 delivers a signal to a timer device 2 when the suction pressure of the compressor 101 is below a predetermined value. Further, if such a condition that the pressure is less than the predetermined value and the temperature exceeds the predetermined value continues for a predetermined time, the timer device 2 cuts off the relay 1 to disengage the clutch 4. Thus, it is possible to ensure the detection of insufficient coolant.

    • PURPOSE:To improve having ability by providing plural introduction ports and leading out ports on the valve casing of a four-direction change over valve provided on a circulating water channel respectively, and similarly providing a spool with a linear hole to connect the introduction and the leading out port which are mutually adjacent and opposite to each other, and an arc-shaped recess. CONSTITUTION:A vehicle heating apparatus is provided with a circulating circuit through which an engine cooling water is supplied to and drained from a heater core. The halfway spot of a water going channel in the circulating circuit is provided with a four-direction change over valve 18 to change over a cooling water channel to a fuel burning heater. In above-mentioned formation, the first introduction port 26 and the first leading out port 27 which communicate with the engine and the heater core respectively are oppositely arranged on a valve casing 25 to accommodate a spool 24 of the four-direction change over valve 18. In addition to that, the second introduction port 28 and the second leading out port 29 which communicate with a returning channel and a water combustion heating channel respectively are oppositely arranged in a direction perpendicular to a diametral line to mutually connect the above-mentioned ports 26, 27. On the other hand, the spool 24 is formed with a linear hole 30 and an arc-shaped recess 31 in parallel to each other.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent a water cooled engine for driving an on-vehicle apparatus from overheating simply securely by generating the output signal from a water temperature monitor to stop the running of on-vehicle apparatus with a control ler when the water temperature of a radiator exceeds a set value. CONSTITUTION:When an operator turns on a switch 1 of an on-vehicle apparatus 2 such as air conditioner, a control section 82 of a controller 8 connects the on-vehicle apparatus 2 to an engine 3. Thus, the on-vehicle apparatus 2 is driven by the engine 3, while a load on the engine 3 is increased to raise temperature in a radiator 4. Then, the temperature of cooling water is detected by a water temperature sensor 5 and indicated on a water thermometer 6, while the water thermometer 6 is monitored by a water temperature monitor 7. When the temper ature of cooling water exceeds a set value, the water temperature monitor 7 supplies the signal output to an AND circuit 81 of the controller 8. Thus, the control section 82 stops the on-vehicle apparatus 2 so that a load on the engine is reduced to prevent the engine from overheating.
