    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform determination of an optical wavelength path or a logical path and determination of traffic accommodation based on traffic demand in a multilayer network.SOLUTION: A traffic accommodation method of a line design device which designs a line such that the line accommodates data traffic exchanged via a multilayer network comprised of an IP-TDM-OXC network includes: if part or all of a router 10 is connected with both a TDM-XC device 20 and an OXC device 30, a division step for dividing traffic to be accommodated in the multilayer network into an amount to be accommodated in an optical wavelength path via the TDM-XC device 20 from the router 10 and an amount directly accommodated in the optical wavelength path from the router 10 according to traffic to be accommodated in the multilayer network; and a small particle size derivation step for deriving the setting of an optical wavelength path necessary for accommodating the divided traffic.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To support a change in transmission rate of each line during utilization of each line and to determine data transmission volume by following each changing line speed.SOLUTION: A transmission system includes a public line transmission server for receiving moving picture data streamed through a first local network, and partitioning the streamed moving picture data according to each transmission rate and change in the rate of the plurality of public lines to transmit them to each of public lines; receives the moving picture data partitioned according to transmission rates of public line and streamed; combines them to the streamed moving picture data before partitioning; and outputs them to a second local network as output data. Accordingly, during utilization of each line, data transmission volume can be determined, following each of changing line speed by supporting a change in transmission rate of each line to transmit the data.
