    • PURPOSE:To prevent the acceleration/deceleration characteristic from deteriorating so as to improve an acceleration/deceleration feeling of a vehicle by providing constitution such that a speed change shift of an automatic transmission is raised by one step from the present in the case of deciding an acceleration condition of an engine in acceleration of satisfying a predetermined condition. CONSTITUTION:Speed change control of a gas turbine vehicle which runs under speed control of an automatic transmission A/T is performed by speed changing an output of a two-shaft gas turbine engine provided with a gas generator GG comprising a compressor C and a compressor turbine CT coaxial with this compressor C, combustor CC, variable nozzle VN and a separate shaft output turbine PT. Whether an acceleration condition is acceleration or not of satisfying a predetermined condition is decided by detecting a steady condition and the acceleration condition of the engine, and a speed change shift of the automatic transmission A/T is shifted up by one step from the present in the case of deciding the acceleration of satisfying the predetermined condition. As a result, a rotational speed N3 of an output shaft through a reduction gear R/G of the output turbine PT is decreased, but here generated inertia force of an output turbine shaft system becomes acceleration energy, so that a delay of responsiveness in the initial acceleration of a vehicle is improved.

    • PURPOSE:To improve power performance of a gas turbine car, by a method wherein, according to at least three signals, by means of which the running state of a biaxial type gas turbine is represented, engine output torque is calculated, and according to the calculating result, the shift position of an automatic transmission is controlled. CONSTITUTION:A gas turbine car feeds high pressure air, fed from a compressor 14, to a combustor 26 through a heat exchanger 28, and a compression turbine 18 and an output turbine 20 are driven by means of high pressure high temperature combution gas generated at the combustor. By means of a power from the output turbine 20, wheels 44 are rotated through a reduction gear 40, an automatic transmission 12, and a differential device 42. In this case, the automatic transmission 12 performs control to switch a shift position according to an output torque calculated by an ECU 54 according to at least three signals, by which the running state of an engine 10 is represented, for example, the outlet pressure and the number of revolution of the compressor 14, the number of revolutions of the output turbine 20, and the opening area of a variable blade nozzle 32.
