摘要： PURPOSE:To readily obtain a thermally and chemically stable photoconductive thin film material having high sensitivity, by melting lead oxide alone or a blend thereof with titanium oxide, introducing the resultant blend into a gap between a pair of metallic cooling rollers and ultra-rapidly cooling the blend while rolling into a thin film. CONSTITUTION:Lead oxide alone or a blend thereof with titanium oxide is melted using an infrared condensing type heating furnace, etc., while being heated and the resultant melt is then introduced into a gap between a pair of metallic cooling rollers and subjected to ultra-rapid cooling while being rolled into a thin film to afford the aimed photoconductive thin film material. The obtained thin film material is usable even at relatively high temperatures and the PbO-TiO2 based thin film material has particularly improved photoconductivity. Above all, the thin film material of PbTiO3 composition has good photoconductivity so that the difference between the dark state and light irradiation state attains 2 digits and is suitably used as an optical switch material, etc.

摘要： PURPOSE:To easily obtain the title long and large-sized plate crystal glass having strength, by press-molding the powdery mixture of glass materials in the softening zone of the low-softening point glass with the belts carrying the mixture in between and rolls, and then heat-treating and crystallizing the compact. CONSTITUTION:The powder of glass materials having different softening points is heated to a specified temp. while being held between a couple of conveying belts, hence only the low-softening point glass is softened, and the high-softening point glass is not softened. The half-softened glass material is passed between two rolls along with the belts, and press-molded. The obtained plate compact is heat-treated, and the glass material powder constituting the compact is softened, fused together, densified, and crystallized.

The light beam is shut off or the photodetecting quantity is changed by the occurrence of the wrapping of the glass band on the upper forming roll 2 or the build-up 7 of the glass band thereon, by which the abnormality is detected and a detection signal is obtd. to trigger an alarm.
