    • PURPOSE:To eliminate a push-pull phenomemon which occurs between wheels having different diameters of an electric railcar by calculating a wheel diameter correction coefficient on the basis of the wearing amount of the tread faces of wheels, and multiplying it by the output of a current limiting value pattern generator. CONSTITUTION:A distance l between a wheel 10 to be measured and a strain gauge 9 secured to a bearing box an axle having an always constant relative position to the axial center of the wheel 10 is measured, and is output to a wheel diameter corrector 8. The corrector 8 calculates a real wheel diameter WD at that time, and outputs a wheel diameter correction coefficient. Further, the output of a current limiting value pattern generator 4 is multiplied by that of the corrector 8, and input to a comparator 5. The comparator 5 compares the input value with the value of the rear armature current of the output of a real armature current measuring circuit 7, and outputs a cam axis stage advancing command to a cam motor rotation instructing circuit 6.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent a motor from being burnt, a speed controlling resistance from being fused, or similar phenomena from taking place, by OFF-working a main circuit switch when the AND output of signal detecting the operation of an accelerator and signal detecting the operation of a brake is continuously generated for a specified time or longer. CONSTITUTION:On normal travelling, by turning a main switch 7 and a switch 8 interlocked with an accelerator pedal ON, the relay coil of a main circuit switching relay 2 is excited, and through a battery 4, current is conducted to a speed controlling resistance 3 and a DC motor 1. When the accelerator pedal 8a is operated by an operator and a brake pedal is stepped on, then the switch 8 and a switch 10 are turned ON, and the AND conditions of the input of an AND circuit 11 are effected, and a buzzer 13 is worked. When this state is continuously kept, then the relay coil of a relay 9 is excited after a given time set by a timer 14, and the contact of the main circuit switching relay 2 is opened.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent a device for damaging even when a shortcircuit defect occurs by dividing a series motor into two groups so that the first group is connected at a power source side with an induction branch and the second group is connected at an earth side with a field weakening resistor. CONSTITUTION:Series motors 6, 7 and 6', 7' are divided into two groups, and a field weakening resistors 2, 2' and field windings 3, 3' are connected in series through a contactor 4 in parallel with fields 5, 5' for the groups. The induction branch of the two groups is inserted into the earth side, and the resistor 3' is inserted into a power source side. A current flowed to the branch when the contact 4 is closed is in a direction of an arrow. In this circuit, when a shortcircuit occurs between the resistors 3 and 3' of the first and second groups in the state that contactors 4, 4' are open, a shortcircuiting current of the same direction as normal is flowed to the branches 2, 2'. No repelling force occurs between the branches 2 and 2'. Accordingly, the branch is not damaged to prevent the device from damaging.

    • PURPOSE:To enable to control a series weak field and to select to a parallel weak field control by blocking the closing operation of a contactor which forms a parallel circuit of a motor by a series weak field command outputted from an instruction unit. CONSTITUTION:When a series weak field switch 17 is operated, a coil 18C is energized, an ON contact 18a is closed, and an OFF contact 18b is opened. When a cam shaft 19 is rotated in this state, a contactor 5 is closed in a series stage 11 to form a series circuit, contactors 9, 16 are closed at the end of the stage 11, and a crossover contactor 8 is closed by the energization of the operation coil 8c. When the shaft 19 is rotated to a crossover stage 12, the contactor 10 is closed, but an OFF contact 18b is opened. Accordingly, the energization of the operation coils 6c, 7c of the parallel contactors 6, 6 are interrupted. Therefore, even if the shaft 19 is rotated to the stae 12 and a weak field stage 14, weak field control is performed in the series circuit.
