SOLUTION: In order to supplement an ink or to replace the overall pen core holder 1, a protrusion 7 is inserted into a groove formed of an engaging portion 2 and a locking portion 3 to be engaged, and a cap 6 and a body 5 are pulled in opposite directions. As a result, since the holder 1 is released from the body 5, the ink is supplemented from an opening of the body 5. In this case, the protrusion 7 is engaged with a groove formed of the portions 2 and 3, and the engaging state is held even after the holder 1 is removed from the body 5, a placing position of the holder 1 is not troubled while supplementing the ink, and no hand is contaminated with the ink. Thereafter, when the cap 6 is held and the holder 1 is inserted into the body 5, the writing instrument again becomes writable.
