摘要： A heliostat device includes: a mirror assembly (1) whose frontal mirrors face to the sun; an elevation angle adjusting mechanism controlled to drive the mirror assembly to rotate around a horizontal axis (12) so as to adjust the elevation angle of the mirror assembly; an azimuth angle adjusting mechanism controlled to drive the mirror assembly to rotate around a vertical axis (13) so as to adjust the azimuth angle of the mirror assembly; a alignment sensor (4) which faces to the mirror assembly and sends out elevation angle controlling signals and azimuth angle controlling signals to control the reflecting direction of the mirror assembly; a post (5) which fixedly stands on the ground and integrally supports the mirror assembly, the elevation angle adjusting mechanism and the azimuth angle adjusting mechanism by supporting the back side of the mirror assembly; and a supporting arm (10), on one end of which is mounted the alignment sensor, and the other end of which is fixed on the post. The supporting arm passes through a gap of the mirror assembly under the center mirror, and thereby the alignment sensor protrudes to the front of the center mirror, such that all of the reflected light from the mirror assembly is controlled to strike the target of the collector during the motion of the sun.

By providing a throttle mechanism 3 for varying the passing area of light converged by the size of an opening A surrounded by a shield between the light collection optical system 1 and heating unit 2, a dose of sunlight to an object T to be heated in the heating unit 2 is adjusted by the size of the opening A of the throttle mechanism 3 so as to adjust a heating temperature.

摘要： Light valves which are controlled by temperature are made by rapidly injecting between two closely spaced sheets, of e.g. glass, a low viscosity monomer+solvent solution, and then rapidly polymerizing the monomer to form a solid layer, which is transparent below a specified temperature, and opaque above that temperature. The low viscosity of the monomer solution and its rapid polymerization makes mass production economically practical. Production machinery for these light valves may be adapted from existing machinery that has been made for manufacturing sealed, double pane windows.

摘要： A glazing panel includes a sheet of glass and a series of spatially separated optical elements disposed on a major face of glass. Each element has an upwardly-facing reflective surface, which extends out of the plane of the glass. A region of the material, having an optical transmission coefficient, which varies across its width, is disposed below the surface. Light incident on the upwardly facing reflective side surfaces is reflected upwardly into the area on the other side of the glazing panel. Light entering the area through the region is attenuated and diffused. The elements may be printed onto the glass, or onto a film, that is applied to the glass. Alternatively, the elements may include profiled formations which are adhered to the glass.

摘要： The thermally switched absorptive optical shutter may be a self-regulating “switchable absorber” device that may absorb approximately 100% of incoming light above a threshold temperature, and may absorb approximately 50% of incoming light below a threshold temperature. The shutter may be formed by placing a thermotropic depolarizer between two absorptive polarizers. This control over the flow of radiant energy may occur independently of the thermal conductivity or insulation of the shutter device and may or may not preserve the image and color properties of incoming visible light. This has energy-efficiency implications as it can be used to regulate the internal temperature and illumination of buildings, vehicles, and other structures without the need for an external power supply or operator signals. It also has aesthetic implications since the shutter device has unique optical properties that are not found in traditional windows, skylights, stained glass, light fixtures, glass blocks, bricks, or walls. Additionally, the shutter device may have application as a building material.
