    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an easy-to-manufacture low-cost lid lock device for a vehicle.SOLUTION: This lid lock device 1 actuates an electric motor 3, and rotates a worm wheel 5 via a worm 4, so as to make a lock shaft 6 advance/recede with respect to a housing 2 and engage/disengage the lock shaft 6 with/from a lid which is provided in a vehicle body. A pull cord 7 for emergency, which is integrally molded from a synthetic resin material, is connected to a back end of the lock shaft 6. The pull cord 7 is connected by making the insertion portion 712 of a shaft engaging portion 71 inserted into a connecting hole 65a formed in the lock shaft 6, while being bent. In addition, the handle portion 72 of the pull cord 7 is connected by making an attachment portion 722 inserted into the engaging hole of the vehicle body while being bent. When the occurrence of a malfunction in the lid lock device 1 disables the operation of returning the lock shaft 6 by the electric motor 3, an operator pulls the pull cord 7 and tows the lock shaft 6.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lid lock device for a vehicle, which allows an operating traction member for drawing back a moving component in emergency to have improved mountability to the vehicle.SOLUTION: In a lid lock device 1, an actuated electric motor 3 rotates a warm wheel 5 so that a lock shaft 6 is advanced or retarded in relation to a housing 2, resulting in the engagement or disengagement with a lid disposed to a vehicle body. The rear end of the lock shaft 6 is connected to an emergency tool 7 integrally formed of a synthetic resin material. An insertion part 66 formed on the lock shaft 6 is inserted in an assembly hole 711 of a shaft engaging part 71, and the emergency tool 7 is then drawn backward so that the insertion part 66 is moved into a slide hole 712 while a partition piece 713 is deflected. Consequently, the emergency tool 7 and the lock shaft 6 are connected. In the case that the lock shaft 6 cannot be returned back by the electric motor 3, an operator pulls the emergency tool 7 for traction of the lock shaft 6.
