CONSTITUTION:At the time of teeming at 4 the molten steel in a converter 1 into a steel receiving vessel 2, the molten alloy iron in a molten metal holding vessel 7 having beforehand been held in a molten state is dropped from a socket 5b for introduction into the vessel 2 through a chute 5 irrespectively of the dropping point of molten steel flow 4. Since the molten alloy iron added during this time quickly melts and diffuses, the addition places thereof are not limited at the dropping center of the molten steel flow 4 and the similar effect of addition is obtained despite dropping of any place in the vessel 2. Hence, there is no need for swiveling the chute 5, and the chute 5 may be of stationary construction.
