    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high frequency heating balloon catheter system which can accurately detect a temperature, can be made compact as compared with the conventional one and can surely detect a pinhole and sticking of a thrombus. SOLUTION: A thermocouple 10 is constituted of a high frequency transmission line 8 and one ultrafine dissimilar metal wire 9 joined to the tip end of the high frequency transmission line 8. A coil-like electrode 7 is formed in a coil shape by extending the tip end of the high frequency transmission line 8, and the tip end of the metal wire 9 is point-joined to the base end of the coil-like electrode 7. A high frequency generator 24 is configured so as to supply the high frequency of 1 to 5 MHz to the coil-like electrode and an opposite pole plate 12 and to monitor high frequency output, total impedance and reflected waves, and is configured to automatically adjust the high frequency output so as to maintain the temperature of the coil-like electrode 7 at a set value. The high frequency generator 24 is configured so as to display a pinhole alarm 26 or a thrombus alarm 27 or automatically stop the supply of the high frequency when the impedance lowers or rises by a fixed value with a steady-state value as a reference.
