    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal material and a railway vehicle body structure using the same capable of easily securing adhesion in a connecting part.
      SOLUTION: In a frame member 30, a sectional shape when seeing a flange part 33 from the sectional direction of the frame member 30 is circularly curved so as to be projected toward an outer plate 20 side. Therefore, when the flange part 33 of the frame member 30 is superposed on the outer plate 20, the tip part of the flange part 33 linearly abuts on the outer plate 20, and a superposition part having a gap within a permissible amount exists with a certain width on both sides of the abutting part between the flange part 33 and the outer plate 20. Consequently, in a case where a plane part of the flange part is allowed to abut on a plane part of the outer plate like a conventional frame member, the control of a place exceeding the permissible gap amount is difficult, whereas in the frame material 30, the adhesion of the abutting part between the flange part 33 and the outer plate 20 can be easily secured by only superposing the flange part 33 on the outer plate 20.
