    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrochemical device which is free of a short-circuit problem between positive and negative electrodes and is less liable to cause a lamination deviation in a plurality of electrodes.SOLUTION: In the electrochemical device having a cathode and an anode laminated one on another in order via a separator, there are included a first and a second separator at the top and the bottom of the anode. At least the second separator is larger than the anode itself, and the second separator has its peripheral portion divided into a predetermined number of segments. The divided peripheral portions are folded alternately to the top and the bottom sides of the anode, whereby a bagged electrode is formed. The end portion folded to the top face of the anode overlaps the end portion of the first separator, whereby rugged portions are formed on the electrode. The bagged electrode is laminated in a plurality of layers, which are engaged with the rugged portions.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dielectric element which improves adhesiveness in an interface between a substrate formed of metal and an oxide dielectric layer, and has excellent leak characteristics, and to provide a method of easily manufacturing the dielectric element. SOLUTION: The dielectric element 10 includes the substrate 12 formed of metal, and the oxide dielectric layer 14 laminated on a surface of the substrate 12; the surface of the substrate 10 includes metal oxide regions 16 distributed in island-like forms; and the oxide dielectric layer 14 adheres tightly to the substrate 12 through the metal oxide regions 16. Since adhesiveness of a region where the substrate 12 and the oxide dielectric layer 14 adhere tightly to each other through the metal oxide regions 16 distributed in island-like forms on the surface of the substrate 12 is high, adhesiveness between the substrate 12 and the oxide dielectric layer 14 of the dielectric element 10 is enhanced. Since formation of unevenness by the metal oxide regions 16 and the substrate 12 is suppressed as compared with the case in which unevenness is formed on metal foil, degradation of the leak characteristics by the unevenness can be suppressed.
