    • PURPOSE:To prevent a jumping up of cutting pieces by a lower blade and a collision of an upper blade and a following strip, and to improve the productivity extensively by inclining a plane including the upper and the lower drum cores simultaneously with the shearing of the strip. CONSTITUTION:Drum shear blades 4a and 4b are lapped, and in the instant that a strip 1 is cut, a hydraulic pressure is applied to a tilting cylinder 8 at the lower dead center, so as to incline a plane including the shaft cores of the upper and the lower drum bearings 6a and 6b at the angle theta to the advancing direction of the strip 1. The shaft 6a is moved the amount x=Dsin theta/2 in the strip advancing direction, and the shaft 6b is moved the same amount in the reverse direction. (In this formula, D is the diameter of the drum.) To the peripheral speed V of the drum, the edge speed of the upper blade 4a is made as the speed v+DELTAv adding the moving speed DELTAv in the inclination, while the edge speed of the lower blade 4b is made as v-DELTAv. Consequently, a bending of the tip of the blade can be prevented.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent surely the rupture of a strip in the starting stage by exerting successively increasing tension to the strip between the respective stands of a tandem mill having plural stands from the front stage toward the rear stage of the stands with the slight rotation of rolls so that the final tension attains the prescribed valve or above. CONSTITUTION:The strip 1 is passed to the tandem mill having the plural stands S1-S4. The tension on the strip 1 is measured by tension meters T1-T3 between the stands and the tension value thereof is adjusted by the slight rotation of driving motors M1-M4 by a control circuit C to the successively increasing tension from the upper stream side toward the down stream side so that the final tension attains the prescribed value or above. The rolling is started in this state, then the rolling is started without slackening of the strip 1 between the stands are the rupture of the strip in the starting stage is surely prevented.

    • PURPOSE:To surely peel an amorphous strip from a cooling roll and to coil the strip without any breakage by pushing a magnetized leader tape to the strip just before peeling point of the amorphous strip stuck to the roll and weakening the stickness between the cooling roll and the strip. CONSTITUTION:The magnetized leader tape 8 is coiled with a coiling reel 11 from a supplying reel 7. By accelerating the coiling reel 11, the magnetized leader tape 8 is synchronized with peripheral speed of the cooling roll 5, and a pushing roll 15 is pushed with a cylinder 16 to push the tape 8 to the roll 3. At the time of supplying the molten steel 1 on the roll 3 by ascending a stopper 4 of a tundish nozzle 3, the molten steel 1 on the roll is rapidly cooled to form the amorphous strip 6 and reach to the lower end part of the roll 5. The strip 6 reached to the lower end part of the cooling roll 5 is pushed with the pushing roll 15 and the stickness to the cooling roll 5 is weakened and the strip is attracted with the magnetized leader tape 8 and separated from the roll 5. The strip 6 attracted to the magnetized leader tape 8 is coiled to the coiling reel 11.
