摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply and appropriately adjust the gain of an input signal amplifier by arranging resistors with the power of '2'. SOLUTION: An addition signal is inputted to an A/D converter 3, and it is converted digitally. The highest bit controls the switch SR of a minimum resistor R, and the lowest bit is supplied to a resistor 16R with the maximum resistance value through a switch S16 R. The respective bits of the digitized addition signals operate on the switches SR-S16 R and the switches open/close connection according to the bits. The gain of the input signal amplifier 1 of error signal amplification corresponds to an error signal in the selection of the corresponding values of the resistors R-R16 , where the two adjacent resistors differ by the power of '2'. When the error signal becomes twice with the high reflecting force of a recording medium, for example, conductance also becomes twice and the gain is reduced to a half. The A/D converter 3 is controlled by a clock signal T. Thus, response speed suitable for the gain can be adjusted from outside by a signal T.
