    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a construction method for installing an edge-of-eaves beam, which enables labor savings, and a reduction in cost, construction period and industrial waste by installing the edge-of-eaves beam without wholly demolishing the roof truss, under surfaces of eaves and the like of an existing house, when the the edge-of-eaves beam has to be newly installed along the edge of the eaves of the side surface of the girder of the existing house, so as to structurally reinforce the side of the extension part of the existing house, in extension work for the side surface of the girder of the house wherein a truss edge-of-eaves part is extended obliquely downward from the side of one end of the roof truss.
      SOLUTION: The edge-of-eaves side part of the truss edge-of-eaves part of the side surface of the girder, to which the edge-of-eaves beam is to be added, of the existing house is cut off; respective edge-of-eaves beam installing fittings, which are equipped with vane members with edge-of-eaves beam connecting parts, ascending-beam bundle connecting members and orthogonal beam connecting members, are arranged at the edge-of-eaves-side ends of the mutually adjacent trusses in such a manner that the edge-of-eaves beam connecting parts face each other; and both ends of the edge-of-eaves beam are connected to the mutually opposed edge-of-eaves beam connecting parts.
