    • PURPOSE:To prevent the increase of thermal effect and transmission loss in the housed optical fiber itself when extrusion coating is executed by providing a coating layer consisting of a plastic material having the m.p. higher than polyethylene (PE) via a heat insulating layer on the outer side of a metallic pipe contg. the optical fiber. CONSTITUTION:This optical fiber unit has the metallic pipe 11 of a stainless steel, etc., housing the optical fiber 12, the heat insulating layer 13 provided on the outer periphery of the metallic pipe 11 and the coating layer 14 of the plastic material, such as, for example, polypropylene, polybutene or nylon, having the m.p. higher than the m.p. of the PE. Such optical fiber unit has the coating layer 14 of the plastic material having the m.p. higher than the m.p. of the PE on the outer side and is, therefore, not affected by the extrusion temp. of the PE even when the optical fiber unit is combined with a power cable, plastic water feed pipe, etc., by winding or left-hand and right hand lays. Thus, this optical fiber unit is extremely effective at the time of utilizing the unit for the optical fiber composite electric cable, optical fiber composite water feed pipe, etc.

    • PURPOSE:To lengthen the size by pressedly collecting a plurality of power cables together in parallel and interposing an inclusion in a gap made among collected cable cores to integrated them in a circle with binding material. CONSTITUTION:A spacer 1 having a cushion effect is made to lie in the center of collected cable cores C1, C2, C3 so that the cores C1, C2, C3 do not come into contact with one another as far as possible. The cable cores thus collected together should be coiled by the following process without fail. When they are coiled, the 3-core cable is always twisted at 360 deg. in one turn, so that three cores can sufficiently move in the spacer 1 which has a cushion effect, and a tensile force or a compressive force is never applied to a particular cable core and uniform coiling can be made. It is thereby possible to lengthen a cable because previous limitation caused by a supply bobbin or widing bobbin is eliminated.

    • PURPOSE:To enhance heat transfer capacity of a heat pipe and to inexpensively provide its safety by mounting a wick material in a container in which a lead tube is brought into close contact with the inner periphery of an aluminum tube, and employing water or methanol as operation liquid. CONSTITUTION:A composite pipe 1 formed by bringing a lead tube 3 into close contact with the inner periphery of an aluminum tube 2 is employed as a container, and operation liquid is sealed in the container. A protective layer 4 made of polyethylene, nylon, etc., is provided on the outer periphery of the tube 2 to improve corrosion resistance of the outer surface. A manufacturing method for the pipe 1 includes extrusion molding the tube 3 by an extruder 5, then supplying the tube 3 to an aluminum extruder, and forming an aluminum tube on the outer periphery of the tube 3. Thus, since the liquid is brought into contact with the lead tube having desirable corrosion resistance, water or methanol can be employed as the liquid. Further, both the metals having satisfactory heat conductivity, thereby improving its performance.

    • PURPOSE:To manufacture a compound tube being excellent in pressure resistance, external flaw resistance and shape holding property, etc., and also, having flexibility by inserting a lead tube into a corrugated metallic tube, and expinding the lead tube in the inside of the metallic tube. CONSTITUTION:First of all, by rounding a metallic plate in a tubular shape and welding its joint, and thereafter, executing the corrugating working, a corrugated metallic tube 2 is formed. Subsequently, for instance, a lead tube 3 brought to lead extrusion is inserted into the metallic tube 2. Next, both ends of the lead tube 3 are closed up tightly, and by filling the inside of the lead tube 3 with a pressure medium such as gas or a liquid, etc., the lead tube 3 is worked toward the inside peripheral surface of the corrugated metallic tube 2, and also, atmospheric air in a gap 10 formed between the lead tube 3 and the inside peripheral surface of the metallic tube 2 is brought to vacuum formation, by which the lead tube 3 is expanded and the lead tube 3 is allowed to adhere closely to the inside peripheral surface of the corrugated metallic tube 2 and a lead layer 4 is formed. In this regard, it is also possible to improve the quality of the outside surface by providing protective layers 5, 6 on the outside peripheral surface of the corrugated metallic tube 2.

    • PURPOSE:To permit the carrying and accumulation of heat in a lengthwise direction substantially and uniformly in a long heat pipe by arranging heat accumulating material along the lengthwise direction of a heat pipe container. CONSTITUTION:An outer pipe 3, whose both ends are connected to the outer peripheral surface of an outer heat pipe container 2 sealingly excluding a heat absorbing and evaporating section A and a heat dissipating and condensing section B, is provided at the outside of the outer heat pipe container 2 and heat accumulating material 4 is sealed into the outer pipe 3. A temperature keeping layer 5, formed of vinyl chloride, polyethylene or the formed layer of these materials, is provided on the outer periphery of the outer pipe 3. The heat pipe container is formed so as to be double and, therefore, temperature reduction may be prevented in the heat transfer of a long distance and excellent heat transfer efficiency may be obtained. When heat pipe is utilized as the same to cope with a long distance and intermittent heat source or load, it may be very effective.
