    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary press-driving pile device which exerts a consolidation effect to the periphery of a pile, and is excellent in excavation efficiency.
      SOLUTION: A flange-shaped enlarged-base board 12 has apertures 13 formed therein which are almost in parallel with a diameter-directional segment S of a tip 3 and located on a rotating directional side. The enlarged-base board has upper blades 14 extending upward in a direction opposite to a rotating direction, at the edge 13A of the aperture 13, on the rotating directional side, and lower blades 15 extending downward in the rotating direction, at the edge 13B of the aperture 13, on a side opposite to the rotating directional side. Since the aperture 13 is almost in parallel with the diameter directional segment S and located on the rotating directional side, the upper blade 14 and the lower blade 15 are located on the rotating directional side. Therefore when the tip 3 is rotated, the upper blade 14 and the lower blade 15 press earth on the front side of a diameter location, and a pressing force generates a force to press the earth in an outer peripheral direction, to thereby improve the consolidation effect on the periphery of the pile.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pile embedding method for embedding a pile for reinforcing the ground as a foundation of a construction or a civil-engineering structure, wherein the pile can be penetrated into the ground without rotating the same, and wherein even a pile of a small diameter and of a low strength is available, and to provide an apparatus for use in the method.
      SOLUTION: According to the pile embedding method, a bottom expansion plate (30) is attached to a lower edge of a hollow cylindrical casing (20) having excavation propelling blades (22) mounted on a peripheral surface thereof, and the casing is embedded in the ground (A) by applying a rotating force thereto from an auger drive unit (40), followed by inserting the pile (50) into the casing (20). Then the pile (50) is erected on the bottom expansion plate (30), and thereafter the bottom expansion plate (30) is separated from the casing (20), followed by draining up the casing (20) from the ground (A) by backward rotational driving of the auger drive unit (40), whereby only the pile (50) is embedded in the ground (A).

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an auger rod engagement/disengagement determining gauge which facilitates easy drawing-up of an auger rod from a bottom expansion plate after embedding and penetration of a hollow pile.
      SOLUTION: The gauge 10 is formed of a recessed thrust gauge 30 housed in a housing groove 21 formed in a gauge base board 20 in a manner slidable along an arcuate track, and a protruding thrust gauge 40 housed in the recessed thrust gauge 30 in a manner slidable along the arcuate track. The protruding thrust gauge 40 is slid such that its slide stroke corresponds to each rotating angle of the auger rod 60, and the protruding thrust gauge 40 and the recessed thrust gauge 30 are made engageable with/disengageable from each other. When both the thrust gauges 30, 40 are engaged with each other, they are unitarily slid in an engaging direction, and in this manner the engagement/disengagement between the auger rod 60 and the bottom expansion plate 70 is reproduced by the thrust gauge 10, and therefore by visually checking the thrust gauge 10, disengagement of the auger rod 60 from the bottom expansion plate 70 is easily carried out.
