SOLUTION: A low-speed roller 16 is disposed in addition to a paper delivery drive roller 25 for discharging paper to a paper delivery tray 12, and is slightly offset from the paper delivery drive roller 25. For discharging paper, the paper delivery drive roller 25 is decelerated only to transfer the trailing edge of paper only by a slight distance, and the low-speed roller 16 takes over the carrying of paper. The deceleration duration of the paper delivery drive roller 25 thus becomes extremely shorter, so that its normal feeding speed can be made equal to that of copying machines, printers or others and free from speed control.

SOLUTION: An anvil 52 for bending the tips of a staple after the staple pierces a paper sheet is a material for bending the staple into a spectacles folding shape, and a plurality of anvils 51 are provided on a jogger table 11 so that binding work may be selectively performed to the paper sheet from a plurality of binding positions. A stapler 5 is so constituted as to be moved in the direction perpendicular to the conveying direction. When the paper sheets are jogged, the stapler 5 is moved, binding work is performed by selectively using the anvil part 52. When the binding work is finished, the jogger table 11 is moved, and the paper sheet is moved onto a paper sheet discharging tray. Since the tip of the paper sheet is placed on the paper sheet discharging tray, the rear end of the paper sheet is dropped and moved to the paper sheet discharging tray side.
