    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting apparatus which has a light guide plate for guiding light of a plurality of LEDs and in which luminance unevenness of a light guide plate is suppressed.SOLUTION: LEDs 2 are arranged in a polygonal annular shape, a light guide plate 3 is disposed in an annular shape, light of the LEDs 2 is introduced from an inner periphery surface and derived to the outside while propagating in an outer periphery direction. The inner periphery surface of the light guide plate 3 has a series of plurality of incidence surfaces 32 facing the LEDs 2 on each side of the polygonal annular shape formed by the LEDs 2. At a connection part 32a of the incidence surfaces 32 adjacent to each other, a corner member 36 is formed integrally with the light guide plate 3 so as to fill the corner. Out of the light of the LEDs 2 on each side, the light entering the light guide plate 3 from the surface of the corner member 36 refracts in such a manner that it travels at a larger angle laterally with respect to the light propagation direction by the light guide plate 3 on the surface. Therefore, propagation region A1 of the light of the LEDs 2 on each side of the light guide plate 3 is expanded, and the luminance of each propagation region A1 is lowered. As a result, difference in luminance between a region A2 where the propagation regions A1 adjacent to each other overlap and a region A3 where they do not overlap becomes small.

Accordingly, total reflection of the light on the boundary surface 4A is suppressed, and lighting efficiency is enhanced.
