    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric dust catcher which is provided with a spacer to control a spark, and which controls a leak of electric charges from the spacer and enhances the dust collection capability.
      SOLUTION: In the two-stage type electric catcher comprised of an electrostatic charge part 2 to electrify particles in an influx gas and a dust collection part 3 to collect dust of charged particles, which is arranged at the downstream side of the electrostatic charge part 2, the dust collection part 3 has a constitution that an earth ground electrode plate 24 which connects a hyperbaric pressure electrode plate 23 to apply high voltage and an earth is alternately arranged in a predetermined distance. The dust collection capability can be improved by installing an insulation spacer 35 having a longer height than the distance causing a spark between the hyperbaric pressure electrode plate 23 and the earth ground electrode plate 24, and controlling the leak of electric charges from the spacer by arranging the insulation spacer 35 so that it is brought into contact with only either one of the hyperbaric pressure electrode plate 23 or earth ground electrode plate 24 when high voltage is not applied to the hyperbaric pressure electrode plate 23.
