    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase a capacitance of an electric double layer capacitor.
      SOLUTION: This electric double layer capacitor uses a mixture of different sizes of conductive carbonaceous powder for polarized electrodes. The average size of the power is made 2 to 200 times the other smaller powder and the larger diameter powder is mixed 50 to 95% in weight. This means that a larger amount of the conductive carbonaceous powder can be filled, which increases the powder surface areas resulting in an increased static capacity of the capacitor. The conductive carbonaceous powder can be activated carbon, acetylen black or Ketjen black.

      SOLUTION: A cylindrical deforming member 3 having shape memory effect which is fastened with a screw 4 is provided to a fastening part of a casing 1. The deforming member 3 is composed of a shape memory material having a high rigidity in a range of room temperature and extremely low rigidity due to softening in a temperature range exceeding a transformation temperature. The fastening function is maintained during utilization at room temperature. When reaching a temperature range exceeding the transformation temperature of the deforming member 3 by heating, the deforming member 3 is transformed to loose fastening function, thereby being easily demountable from a fastened object 2.
