    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent snow from thawing and compact fallen snow, by laying header pipes with air-blowing pipes on the bedrock of fallen snow and supplying low temperature air from an air supply source. SOLUTION: Low temperature air is supplied from an air supply source to header pipes 4 laid on the whole area of the bedrock 1 and elected into the fallen snow 3 out of air-jetting openings 6 of air nozzle pipes 5. The low temperature air is forced to penetrate the fallen snow 3 and dissipated from the surface to the outside air to uniformly cool the whole fallen snow. Since the low temperature air ejected to the outside of the fallen snow 3 has a larger density than the atmospheric air, it flows along the surface of the fallen snow to form a laminar flow and isolates the sensible heat transfer from the outside air at the surface of the fallen snow. The snow 3 at the periphery of the air nozzle pipes 5 is frozed by the low temperature air penetraing the fallen snow from the air-jetting openings 6 and the hardness and the shearing strength increse. And further, since the cold is transferred from the lower layer to the upper layer of the fallen snow in sequence, the hardness and the shearing strength of the lower layer become larger than those of the upper layer. In this way, a favorable condition without peeled snow can be kept and snowslides can be prevented even if the inclined angle of the bedrock is large.

    • PURPOSE:To measure only the breaking resistance of ice plank by providing a run- on preventing device which suppresses the experimental model to run on the ice plank and by providing stress detectors between the run-on preventing device and the experimental model and between the model and the pulling device respectively. CONSTITUTION:The experimental model 1, which is pulled by the winch 6 or the like, and the run-on preventing device 2 which runs on the ice at the same speed as the model 1 and a part of which is located above the model 1 to suppress the model to run on the ice plank 9 are provided, the vertical-stress detector 3 is installed between the said part of the device 2 and the model 1 and the horizontal- stress detector 4 is provided to the pulling mechanism for the model. When such an experimental device is pulled, the experimental model breaks ice while it moves on the ice, the device 2 suppresses the experimental device to run on the ice plank 9 by means of the beam 22 and runs on the ice through the tanks 21, 22. In this way, the vertical and horizontal stresses which the experimental model 1 receives from the ice plank 9 can be detected by the detectors 3, 4 to obtain the breaking resistance of ice plank.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent snow from deteriorating, by piling a waterabsorbing member on cooling pipes laid on a bedrock to absorb water and freeze it and laying fallen snow thereon. SOLUTION: A water-absorbing member 5 is piled on cooling pipes 3 laid on a bedrock 1 and after water has been scattered, low temperature air is supplied into the cooling pipes 3 from a low temperature air source 4 to freeze the member 5 and then artificially fallen snow 6 is laid thereon. The surface of the fallen snow is melted owing to the sensible heat or the like of the room temperature but as it is cooled by the member 5, the melting speed is slow and the hardness of the fallen snow is high. And water generated from thawing snow is cooled by the pipes 3. In the conventional cooling method of only pipes 3, frozed ice faces are formed, but in this method these frozen ice faces do not arise because of the member 5 at the periphery of the pipes 3. Although the surface of the fallen snow 6 is shaved by skiing, as the member 5 is not peeled out of the pipes 3, there is no fear that the bedrock is not exposed like a ski slope formed of only naturally fallen snow. In this way, fallen snow is prevented from being scraped owing to skiing, vehicles for keeping ski slopes, and slopes.

    • PURPOSE: To make an ice having refreshing feeling by providing a pressure ice making container, an ice making water injection port, and a pressure regulator having a mechanism for regulating the hydraulic pressure of the ice making water in the ice making container. CONSTITUTION: An ice making container 7 is filled with normal pressure ice making water 11 and a gas 14 being dissolved therein at an appropriate ratio and then it is sealed hermetically. The ice making water 11 and the gas 14 in the ice making container 7 are then applied with a pressure through a pressure regulator 12 in order to dissolve the gas 14 into the water 11. Subsequently, the water 11 is cooled from the cover 9 side of the container 7 to form an ice making layer 20 directly under the cover 9. Thereafter, bubbles 21 adhere to the boundary surface between the ice making layer 20 and the water 11. The bubble 21 is applied with a pressure in the container 7 and the gas can be deposited as microbubbles 21 when the pressure of the water 11 containing the dissolved gas 14 is reduced by the pressure regulator 12. Subsequently, the production of bubble 21 is stopped and an ice making layer 22 is formed similarly. The multilayer ice containing high pressure bubbles 21 generates a comfortable cracking sound when it is used in a drink.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ice breaker, and an operation method thereof capable of conducting safe navigation and effective ice breaking of the ice breaker in a sea zone where accumulation of snow exists on an ice plate. SOLUTION: A water storage tank 12 at a higher position than a draft line 17 at a bow part, a drain mechanism connected to its bottom part, a brine lifting pump 11, a water injecting passage 23 to inject brine into a water storage tank 11, a drain passage 22 for introduction to the drain mechanism 21, and a change-over valve 14 for introduction to one passage are provided. The drain mechanism 21 is provided at a height of a specified distance from the draft line 17 at a bottom part of the bow part, it is composed of the switching valve 14 and a drain port 13, a movable current plate 19 is provided in the drain port 13, and in discharging water from the drain port 13, regulation of a discharging direction and current regulation are conducted. The drain port 13 is formed as a slit, and one or a plurality are disposed along a flat surface form of the bow part at a height of a specified distance from the draft line 17. In operating this vessel, continuous discharge of water and discontinuous discharge of water in large flow are changeably conducted from the drain port 13 in accordance with ice sea situations.
