    • PURPOSE:To attain detection with high accuracy, without complicated software, by transmitting an output the polarity of which is inverted at each period of a diagnostic pulse applied externally from a specific output port, monitoring and detecting this operation through the relation to the diagnostic pulse. CONSTITUTION:Normally, a CPU2 has a runaway monitor program and inverts the polarity of an output signal B during the priod of a pulse A. An inversion detection circuit 3 transmits a pulse signal C at the leading and trailing of the signal B. Further, an FF7 is set when the signal A falls down, an output signal is reset at each input of the signal C and an output D is as shown in Figure (d). The signal D is not coincident with the signal A when the CPU2 is normal, signals E, F go to ''L'' to avoid the fail control and the reset of the CPU2. If the CPU2 runs away and the signal B keeps H, the signal C is not transmitted, the signal D goes to ''H'', the coincidence with the signal A is taken, the signal E is generated, a monostable multivibrator 9 is operative, a signal F with the specified pulse width is generated for the fail control and the CPU2 is set.

    • PURPOSE:To make it possible to prevent transistors and the like in an engine ignition control unit from being failed, by specifying inputs to a switching element for controlling the energization of an ignition coil in dependence upon the informaton which is obtained from the detected output state of an ignition control signal generating circuit 5. CONSTITUTION:When a crank shaft 20 is rotated during engine operation, the voltage S4 of a capacitor C1 is low level, the inverted signal S5 of an inverter is high level, the ignition signal S6 from an AND gate is identical with the ignition control signal S3, and a transistor 7 is at high level, thereby ignition is performed. When the engine is stopped, no crank angle pulses S2 are delivered to an ignition control circuit 5, and therefore, the signal S3 therefrom is maintained at high level so that the signal S4 exceeds the threshold level of the inverter IN, resulting in the signal S5 being inverted. At this time, the igntion control signal S6 is low level and the transistor 7 is turned off for discontinuing the unnecessary energization of an ignition coil 8 in association with engine stop, thereby the failure of the transistor and the ignition coil are prevented.

    • PURPOSE:To realize the caller identifying and recording system for the automatic answering telephone set, which storing and recording the caller identifying signal outgoing from the caller after being converted into digital signal. CONSTITUTION:The usage enable signal S3- is fed from the flip flop circuit 27 which is set with the first no tone detection pulse signal S3 of the automatic answering telephone unit 30 and reset with the second non-tone detection pulse S3- to the gate circuit 12. During the recording, the recording request signal and the identification signal S3- outgoing from the caller are fed to the decoder 11 via the filters F1to Fn, integration circuits I1 to In, and wave shape circuits W1 to Wn. The output of the decoder 11 is fed to the comparison circuit 13 and drives the one shot multivibrator 14 with the record request signal present and operates the memory erase circuit 15 and the write-in circuit 16 to finish the recording preparation of the caller identification signal momentarily, and the identification signal outgoing from the caller in succession is recorded in the memory unit 17.

    • PURPOSE:To generate the rotary angle pulse having a unit angle smaller than equally spaced angle of rotary angle reference bodies, by detecting the passage of the rotary angle reference bodies equally spaced around the outer surface of the rotary body, counting the number of high speed clock pulses at every period of the generated sensor signal, and generating the rotary angle pulse every time the high speed clock pulses are counted by the number which agrees with the value that is 1/N the counted value. CONSTITUTION:When the rotary body 1 is rotated in association with the rotation of a body whose rotation is to be detected, a sensor 3 detects the passage of tooth parts 2 and generates the output. A counter 7 counts the number of the clock pulse in every period of the sensor signal A and outputs the result. A latch circuit 8 divides the counted value Y of the pulse phi by using an expression 1/2n=1/N and accepts the result. A down counter 9 performs the down cout every time the pulse phi is supplied. When the counted value reaches a preset value, the rotary angle pulse D is generated from an output terminal OUT. The rotary angle pulse D whose frequency is multiplied by N=2n times, is outputted. Therefore the unit angle is made smaller to 1/N=1/2n in comparison with the conventional angle.

An inversion detection circuit 3 transmits a signal C at the point of change of the signal B and an output of an FF7 is as shown in Figure (d). A signal D is discident with the signal C, an output E keeps ''L'', and a signal F does not perform fail control and reset the CPU2. When the CPU2 runs away and the signal B is inverted twice during one period of the signal A, a signal C is generated from a gate 6, it is coincident with the output of the FF7, a signal E is generated and a monostable multivibrator 9 is set. A pulse F of a prescribed width is generated, the control is switched to fail control and the CPU2 is reset.

CONSTITUTION:When classifying the engines of carts into standard position sensor numbers and output driver numbers in every kind of machines, the sensor number of 1 and the driver number of 2 are provided in the series 2 cylinders of a crank, the sensor number of 2 and the driver number of 2 in the series 2 cylinders, series 4 cylinders of a crank, and the sensor number of 3 and the driver number of 3 in the series 6 cylinders. Accordingly, in the first case it is good to combine the input-output unit 1a and control unit 2 of only a driver 6a, in the second case to combine the input-output unit 1b and control unit 2 of drivers 6a, 6b, and in the third case to combine the input-output unit 1c and control unit 2 having drivers 6a, 6c, so that it is possible to make the control unit 2 having many expensive parts such as CPU9 common.

    • PURPOSE:To make it possible to prevent engine operating failure by providing a signal processing circuit for delivering false pulses as an ignition control signal when either one of first and second reference position pulses is disappeared. CONSTITUTION:Transistors TR1, TR2 are turned of and off, respectively, by ignition control signals S14, S15 due to reference position pulses S7, S8 so that ignition plugs #1, #4 and the ignition #3, #2 are ignited, alternately. Estimating that the pulses S7 are not delivered, caused by the breaking of wire in a magnetic sensor SN1, since the ignition control signal S15 sets a flip-flap circuit 16 in this case, the output signal S18 of the flip-flap circuit 16 is at high level but the inverted signal S19 is at low level so that a counter 7 counts crank angle pulses. However, a signal S10 becomes rectangular pulses, since the counter 7 is not reset, so that a differential signal S11 during the rise time of the rectangular signal is delivered from a circuit 9, and a signal S12 is delivered from an AND circuit 10 since both signals S11, S18 are at high level, thereby the ignition control signal S14 is delivered without disappearing.
