    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an FPC connector lowered in height and connectible to an FPC with a contact positioned on the upper face. SOLUTION: This FPC connector is provided with a housing 2 in which an FPC insertion cavity 8 is partitioned; a plurality of conductive terminals 3 provided in parallel, with contact pieces 7 facing the FPC insertion cavity 8; and an actuator 5 for allowing the contact pieces 7 of the conductive terminals 3 to abut on the contact of the FPC inserted in the FPC insertion cavity 8. A plurality of hold terminals 4 having FPC support pieces 13 for supporting the lower face of the FPC inserted in the FPC insertion cavity, and actuator pieces 14 extending almost parallel with the FPC support pieces 13, are installed adjacently to the conductive terminals 3. The actuator 5 is rotatable engaged with the actuator engaging piece 14 of the hold terminal 4, and the contact piece 7 of the conductive terminal 3 is displaced toward the FPC support piece 13 by the rotation of the actuator 5 to abut on the upper face contact of the FPC supported by the FPC support piece 13.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an FPC connector improved in FPC inserting and removing for the FPC connector in which contact parts of terminals are arranged on the front side and inner side. SOLUTION: In this FPC connector 1, the contact part 12 of one terminal is arranged on the front side of an FPC receiving cavity 7, and the contact part 19 of the other terminal 5 is arranged on the inner side of the FPC receiving cavity 7. A movable beam 16 is provided to face the contact part 19 arranged on the inner side of the FPC receiving cavity 7, and a facing space between the contact part 19 and an engaging protrusion 28 formed at the movable beam 16 is set to a space almost equal to or slightly narrower than the thickness of the FPC 8. When an actuator 3 performs abutting engagement between the contact of the FPC 8 and the contact parts 12, 19 of the terminals 4, 5 by rotation, a cam part 22 provided at the actuator 3 elastically deforms the movable beam 16 and presses the FPC 8 toward the contact part 19 arranged on the inner side, through the engaging protrusion 28.
