    • PURPOSE:To reduce the throughput of an arithmetic operation by computing distance to a picture element where the next edge point exists in a prescribed direction such as upward/downward or rightward/leftward at every whole picture elements of all the pictures, and recording distance information on memory. CONSTITUTION:A distance arithmetic part which computes the edge point detected at an edge point detection circuit 3 and the distance to each picture element uses, for example, a binary counter 6. The memory 7 such as frame memory which stores the distance information for each picture element found by the counter 6 is provided. Thence, the distance to the picture element where the next edge point exists is computed in the prescribed direction such as upward/downward or rightward/leftward, etc., at every whole picture elements of all the pictures, and the distance information is recorded on the memory 7. Therefore, a coordinate value in which the next edge point exists can be obtained by performing one time of addition or subtraction. Thereby, it is possible to find out the edge point from which connection can be started with high efficiency.

    • PURPOSE:To evaluate the shape of a round shape formed in a sample and to evaluate the solid shape of the sample without destroying it by inputting an image of the state of the slanted sample and approximating the round hole to an ellipse. CONSTITUTION:A semiconductor wafer S where a contact hole H is formed is placed on a sample base 1, which is slanted by a tilt angle theta,; and the angle thetais stored in a numeral memory part 2 and an image input part 3 inputs the image of the slanted wafer S and stores it in an image memory art 4. In general, a scanning electron microscope is used as the input part 3, but an image obtained by it has a high noise level, so the contour of the hole H is detected only partially. For the purpose, the image stored in the memory part 4 is processed by an image processing part 5 to obtain the edge of the hole H, from which the expression of the ellipse is estimated; and an arithmetic part 6 calculates the depth of the hole H and the diameter of its reverse surface from the position of the edge and the angle theta.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain a distinct contour line by adding the changes of brightness of picture elements in a wider range to compare the added changes with the threshold value after changing said changes into the sufficiently large value without performing the arithmetic operations based on the relation only between each picture element and its peripheral picture elements. CONSTITUTION:The addition arithmetic operations are repeated at a pre- processing part of an automatic recognizing device using a picture input means like a TV camera, etc., in place of the human visual sense or an automatic inspector as long as the differential value between adjacent picture elements among those picture elements stored in a picture memory is equal to the larger value of the same code especially in case a contour line of a picture processor is produced. Then this addition value is reset when the differential value is equal to the smaller value of the same code or the code is inverted. An arithmetic circuit performs an arithmetic process so that the number of picture elements equal approximately to the medium value of the maximum addition value form a part of the contour line. The brightness changes of the picture elements are added up to the sufficiently large value and compared with the threshold value. Thus a distinct contour line is detected.

    • PURPOSE:To increase the processing speed of a graphic processor by using an analog signal processing circuit to constitute a part where the frequency component is detected out of the video signal through conversion into hardware. CONSTITUTION:The background and an objective part 1 are picked up by an image pick-up element 2. The signal 3 sent from the element 2 is supplied to a picture segmenting circuit 6 for segmentation of the luminance signal of a prescribed part. This segmented luminance signal is separated into (n) types of frequency components set by a filter circuit 13. Then a peak holding circuit 16 detects the maximum value of the filter output amplitude within a picture segmenting window. This detected maximum value is digitized by a level slicing circuit 17, and this digitized output is supplied to a deciding circuit 19. The circuit 19 detects the part 1 according to the presence or absence of a prescribed combination of frequency components included in the output of the circuit 19 and also discriminates the type and the position of the part 1 to deliver the detection output 27 and the position output 28. Thus the result of decision can be obtained as soon as the input of pictures is through.

    • PURPOSE:To form a resin layer having a predetermined thickness on the entire surface of a coil end by providing a movable support for urging the coil end in a mold, starting filling of resin, and then moving the support at suitable time, thereby forming a gap between the coil ends. CONSTITUTION:A spacer 9 is brought into contact with both end faces of a stator iron core 1, a coil 2 is thus mounted, and a temporary stator assembly 8 is formed. This assembly 8 is inserted between the molding upper and lower molds 20 and 30 together with necessary bolts 10 and so forth. Movable supports 21, 31 for urging the coil end are provided respectively at the molds 20 and 30, and resin is filled from an inlet 23 in the state that the coil end is initially urged. When the resin is generally filled in the space and slot 1a and the like in the molds, the supports 21, 31 are elevationally moved up and down, and a resin layer having a predetermined thickness may be also formed on the entire surface of the coil end.

    • PURPOSE:To invade impregnating liquid perfectly even into microcellular spaces of a winding fabric by a method wherein the winding fabric consisting of a fiber is accommodated in a vacuum vessel and an outlet port or the outlet and inlet ports thereof are sealed by the impregnating liquid to maintain a vacuum of the inside of the vessel. CONSTITUTION:A glass cloth 2 for winding is accommodated in a vacuum vessel 5 and the vessel is evacuated during a sufficient time. A back tension due to the winding is charged to the delivered glass cloth 2 by a resistance of S-feed rollers caused by passing through the S-feed rollers 3, 3. The delivered glass cloth 2 is heated by an electric heater 4 and is dried sufficiently in cooperating with the evacuating function while microcellular spaces of fibers of the glass cloth 2 are turned to vacuum condition perfectly. Subsequently, the glass cloth 2 is immersed into liquid resin within a vessel 7 and is withdrawn to outside after passing through nipping rolls 8, 8. The outside of the nipple rolles is in an ambient pressure, therefore, the liquid resin is impregnated into the microcellular spaces in the glass cloth 2 rapidly.
