    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a capacitor used for a hybrid car or the like, in which a connection work can be facilitated and miniaturization can be achieved, by solving the problem that the connection work is difficult because terminals are each led out in opposite directions, and that miniaturization cannot be achieved.
      SOLUTION: A capacitor element 1 in which positive and negative electrodes are led out in opposite directions is housed in a metal case 2, and one of the electrodes is joined to the internal bottom of the metal case 2, and a planar joining portion 3a protruding to a position higher than that of the metal case 2 is provided on the surface of a terminal plate 3 in which the other of the electrodes of the capacitor element 1 is joined to the internal surface and the opening of the metal case 2 is sealed. With this configuration, since positive and negative electrodes can be led out from the terminal plate 3 and the metal case 2 and from the same direction, connection can be facilitated to reduce a connection space; and since a plurality of capacitors can be coupled via a connection plate using a connection portion 3a provided in the terminal plate 3, further reduction in height can be realized.
