    • PURPOSE:To automate the tool preparation by detecting the installation state of a tool by comparing the output signal in the cutting work and a plurality of mode pattern signals and automatically adjusting the installation state of the tool by controlling a displacement mechanism on the basis of the result of the detection. CONSTITUTION:A cutting tool A is supported through a displacement mechanism 4 equipped with an advance mechanism and a rotary mechanism which can shift in each direction, on the toot rest 3 of a lathe 2 for the superfine work for a workpiece 1 such as the photosensitive drum base body of an image forming device, and a force sensor 5 for detecting the working reaction force in cutting work is installed on the displacement mechanism 4. The output of the force sensor 5 is taken into a computer 8 through a dynamic strain gauge 6 and an A/D converter 7. A plurality of mode pattern signals which are assorted according to the worked surface state in the cutting work which are memorized in a memory means 9 and an input signal are compared in a comparison means 10, and the installation state of the cutting tool A is detected. According to the result of the inspection, a control signal is formed, and applied to the displacement mechanism 4, and the installation state of the cutting tool A is adjusted.

    • PURPOSE:To increase safety of a work through prevention of a fall accident by predicting the fall of a body based on detected values from respective sensors and an amount of change per time. CONSTITUTION:A future load state predicting means 6 predicts the state of a load exerted on each part of a body on and after a present point of time as reference to a data base 4 is made based on a load state at a point of time when reproduction is effected by a present load state reproduction state predicting means 5, detected values from sensors 1-3, and an amount of a change with a time. It is discriminated by a fall discriminating means 7 from a reproduced load state at a present point of time and by a fall discriminating means 8 from a predicted load state on and after a present point of time whether load distribution of a body ground touching part causes the fall of a body. A stop/avoidance operation signal output means 10 stops an actuator when it is discriminated that a fall occurs and/or transmits a signal, by means of which avoidance operation is effected so that a fall can be prevented, to a controller 9. An announcing means 11 announces it to an operator that a fall may take place.

    • PURPOSE:To regulate a pre-load in an adequate value by providing an extension member for regulating pre-load to at least one side of a track rail or a sliding board. CONSTITUTION:At least on one side either a track rail 1 or a sliding board 3, an extension member 102 for regulating pro-load which can regulate the interval between opposing rolling element running grooves on which a rolling element is placed is provided, and by extending and contracting the extension member 102, the pre-load is regulated. That is, when a low friction in the running time and the like is required, the pre-load is reduced so as to move lightly, and when a set time in the positioning stopping time is required to reduce, the pre-load is increased so as to increase a damping property. Not only in the running or the stopping time, of course, but also when a variable load is applied in a running condition or the stopping condition, the pre-load is increased so as to increase the dynamic rigidity, and the displacement amplitude is reduced.

    • PURPOSE:To adjust pre-load through an axial extension/contraction part provided between both nuts without using a conventional spacer, surely check rotation without operation error in adjusting the distance between both nuts, and enable accurate control of pre-load by the direct detection of pre-load. CONSTITUTION:An axial extension/contraction part 6 capable of extending and contracting axially is provided between two nut parts 4, 5 threadedly fitted to a threaded shaft 2. The extension/contraction part 6 is composed of resilient member 7 rigid in the direction of turning as well as displacable axially and a minute displacement means extending and contracting the resilient member 7 axially. A pre-load detection means for detecting pre-load between both nut parts 4, 5 is provided to control the extension/contraction of axial extension/ contraction part 6 on the basis of detection value of the pre-load detection means.
