    • PURPOSE: An adjusting agent for perfume, showing simultaneously effects as a fixative and a solubilizer alone, containing a specific diethylene glycol ether compound as an active ingredient to be added to perfume.
      CONSTITUTION: Perfume is blended with at least one of diethylene glycol diether compounds shown by the formula I [group shown by the formula II (l is 6W8; m is 1W3) is 5C saccharide residue; R is 1W6C alkyl; n is 2W4] or formula III [group shown by the formula IV (x is 7W10; Y is 1W4) is 6C saccharide residue; z is 2W5] as an active ingredient. An amount of the compound contained as an active ingredient in perfume is 5W70wt% based on the total amounts of the composition. The compound is obtained by reacting 5C saccharide such as xylose, etc., or 6C saccharide such as glucose, galactose, etc. with a diethylene glycol monoalkyl ether whose OH group is brominated.
