    • PURPOSE:To perform normally stable high temperature combustion and melting, by a method wherein an unburnt substance remaining in incineration ash is burnt in incineration ash, a content of the unburnt substance is determined from generated melting gas and oxygen concentration, and melting is effected in a way that air feed amount is regulated to a value corresponding to the content. CONSTITUTION:Incineration ash A conveyed in a melting furnace 2 is orderly burnt and melted on a furnace floor part 5. In this case, the temperature of melting gas generated along with combustion and oxygen concentration are detected. From the oxygen concentration, a computing unit 18 calculates an air excess factor (air ratio). From temperature detected based on a relational diagram, a current unburnt carbon content is determined, and an air feed amount corresponding to the unburnt carbon content is determined. An air amount control device 20 regulates an air feed means so that a difference between an air feed amount judged by the computing unit 18 and a detected air amount is eliminated. Thus, an air amount corresponding to a residual unburnt carbon in the incineration ash A is fed to an ash melting furnace 2, which can effect stable high temperature combustion and melting.

    • PURPOSE:To provide a stable melting operation without requiring any heating source by a method wherein a required amount of unburnt substance left in combustion ashes by forwarding or retracting it in a transmitting direction in such a way as a complete combustion position of waste material during its transportation enters a proper range and then the remaining unburnt substance is burnt in the combustion ashes. CONSTITUTION:A ratio of inclusion (r) of unburnt carbon in combustion ashes A is calculated in order to get a proper melting operation within an ash melting furnace 2. An inclusion ratio (r) of the unburnt carbon at that time is inspected while supervising a melting condition in the ash melting furnace 2 so as to calculate the desired ratio of inclusion (r). The inclusion ratio (r) of the unburnt carbon and a position of a complete igniting position 12 within a main body 3 of the furnace have a cooperative relation. As a complete igniting point 12 is retracted, i.e. moved toward an upstream side 9 of the transporting operation, the combustion ashes A are exposed more to a flame while its transporting operation, so that an amount of unburnt carbon in the combustion ashes A is reduced and in turn as it may advance to move toward the downstream side 10, its amount is increased. Accordingly, the inclusion ratio (r) of the unburnt carbon in the combustion ashes A can be increased or decreased by moving the burn completing point 12 toward the transporting direction E in an aft and fro direction.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain a desired combustion performance and to enable to take ashes out of a furnace in a dry state, by providing a fluidized-bed furnace in order to after-burn pre-burned matter to be incinerated which is burned by a combustion stoker and is gradually led to the side of an after flow. CONSTITUTION:A matter to be incinerated such as city refuse and industrial waste being thrown into the hopper chute 2 of an incinerator 1 is led into a combustion stoker 3 and is mechanically pre-burned, being swirled by a rotating water pipe. The pre-burned matter to be incinerated is gradually conveyed into a fluidized-bed furnace 4 because the combustion stoker 3 is inclined downward. The pre-burned matter to be incinerated which is still in the unburned state, being led into the fluidized-bed furnace 4, is after-burned and is burned completely. Ashes are dried in the fluidized-bed furnace 4 and is taken out of a furnace from a discharge port 8 by a discharger 7.
