The control part 69 maintains the opened state of the sealing valve 41 when the opened/closed state of the fuel lid 25 is shifted from the opened state to the closed state.

      SOLUTION: The method for detecting failure of the control valve 11 of a vehicle includes: the fuel tank 3 storing fuel; the canister 13 adsorbing evaporative fuel in the fuel tank 3; the control valve 11 provided in the vapor passage 9 for allowing the fuel tank 3 to communicate with the canister 13; an opening/closing command means 2 for outputting an opening/closing angle command to the control valve 11; and a rotational angle detection means 12 detecting the rotation angle of the control valve 11. The control valve has a dead zone area, and the failure of the control valve is detected by comparing an output value from the opening/closing command means 2, set in the dead zone area, with a detection value from the rotation angle detection means 12.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel tank system which can diagnose the presence or absence of a hole in a fuel tank and a piping system for fuel across the whole system.
      SOLUTION: The fuel tank system A is provided with the fuel tank T, a filler pipe 3, a vapor return tube 4, a jet pump P1, a means for retaining pressure, and a pressure monitoring means. One end of the filler pipe 3 is connected to the fuel tank T, and the other end thereof is connected to the oil-feeding opening 3a. Then one end of the vapor return tube 4 is connected to the fuel tank T, and the other end thereof is connected to the oil-feeding opening 3a of the filler pipe 3. A three-way joint 4b is provided to the downward bend 4a located at the midpoint of the vapor return tube 4. The jet pump P1 absorbs the fuel built-up at the downward bend 4a and returns it to the fuel tank T. Then the means for retaining pressure cuts off the interior of the system including the fuel tank T and the vapor return tube 4 from the outside, and the pressure monitoring means monitors the pressure of the interior of the system. A check valve V1, which prevents the fuel from flowing from the jet pump P1 side to the three-way joint 4b side, is provided in proximity to the jet pump P1 of a built-up fuel suction pipe 6.

CONSTITUTION:A solenoid valve 14 is provided in an evaporated fuel passage 12 for allowing a canister 16 to communicate with a fuel tank l, and a float valve 17 for opening and closing an opening part of the passage 12 is provided on the fuel tank 1 side of the evaporated fuel passage 12. A two-way valve 15 is provided in a by-pass passage 13 of the evaporated fuel passage 12, and a float valve 18 for opening and closing an opening part of the passage 13 is provided on the fuel tank 1 side of the by-pass passage 13. The float valve 17 is operated in a lower liquid level as compared with the float valve 18. At the time of feeding oil, the solenoid valve 14 is opened, so that evaporated fuel generated in the fuel tank 1 is adsorbed to the canister 16 through the evaporated fuel passage 12. When the fuel tank becomes full-load at the time of feeding oil, the float valve 17 intercepts the evaporated fuel passage 12, so that liquid fuel will not flow into the canister 16. As the solenoid valve 14 is closed when oil is not fed, evaporated fuel flows into the canister 16 through the by-pass passage 13.

In the oil supply into the fuel tank 23, the evaporated fuel is introduced into the first adsorbent chamber 42 through the second charge passage 33 in the vicinity of a filler cap 22. Further, both the adsorbent chambers 42 and 43 are allowed to communicate by opening the one-way valve 55 of a bypass passage 53 by increasing the pressure in the first adsorbent chamber 42, accompanied with the introduction of the evaporated fuel.
