    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for detecting a position of an elevator capable of miniaturizing a detecting device mounted in a car, and easily adjusting detection of a door zone and a floor matching operation. SOLUTION: A photoelectric switch 6 with two photoelectric sensors 61, 63 and 62, 64 arranged parallely is mounted to a car, and a detection plate 9 having two lines of holes 91, 92 is provided to each floor position of an elevating path. After lights of two sensors are shielded, a door zone is detected because the lights of either one of the sensors continues to be shielded, resulting in permission to open the door. After lights of both sensors are shielded and the car is stopped, when either of the sensors is irradiated, a floor matching operation in a direction corresponding to the sensor is commanded.
