SOLUTION: A part of step formed by a disk guiding round groove arranged on a disk tray 2 is structured to be approximately in the same surface with a bottom surface of the round groove even in an area beyond the disk circumferential part, and structured to be without an empty hole part facing the disk outer circumference side. When a picture recording mode setting circuit 8 sets a standard picture recording mode and a picture recording time setting circuit 3 sets picture recording time, and then, the picture recording time is started in the standard picture recording mode, a system control circuit 7 calculates the remaining amount of a magnetic tape from the information about the rotations of reel drive discs 9a and 9b from reel rotation detectors 2a and 2b and the information set to a magnetic tape discriminating section 1 and compares the calculated remaining amount with the picture recording time set by the circuit 3 When it is judged that all picture are not able to be recorded in the standard picture recording mode, the picture recording mode is switched to a long-time picture recording mode by operating a mode switching circuit 4 at a prescribed point of time in the set picture recording time so that all of the set picture recording time can be used for recording the pictures.

摘要： PURPOSE:To simplify a mode switch and reduce the size of the mode switch by a method wherein the position of one mode is detected by the mode switch and an each mode is set by driving a driving source for a required time from the first detected position. CONSTITUTION:When loading is started, a cam gear 10 is driven to rotate by a loading motor 5. With this rotation, a brush 103 touching the terminal 102 of a mode switch 9 is turned with the cam gear 10 and is separated from the terminal 102. The time required for the cam gear 10 to rotate from a mode before the loading is started to respective modes is measured beforehand and stored in a microcomputer 104. When an apparatus receives, for instance, a signal giving instruction to enter a recording mode, the microcomputer 104 receives the signal and a driving IC 105 drives the loading motor 5 for the required time stored beforehand. With this operation, the cam gear 10 rotates a required angle and the apparatus is put into a recording mode state.

摘要： PURPOSE:To improve the space factor and reliability by adopting the constitution that a shaft is rotated and its operation member operates a front cover switching button at the loading of a cassette. CONSTITUTION:In inserting a cassette 1 to a holder 4, its tip face is brought into contact with a folded part 8a of a shaft 8 to rotate the shaft through depression thereby allowing the cassette loading. When a side-face recessed part 1a of the cassette is oppose to the folded part 8a, the shaft 8 is rotated by an energizing force of a spring 10, the folded part is progressed into the recessed part 1a, a button 3 is depressed to switch the cassette front cover. In unloading the cassette, the shaft is only rotated and no undesired projection is required at the outside of the holder, and then the space factor and the reliability are improved.
