    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the straightening method of wide-flange beam to efficiently straighten to high quality by applying a rolling force from a flange outer side face to a web part with a vertical roller while pinching a fillet part of wide- flange beam with both a horizontal roller, which has its outer peripheral face tapered or crowned and a vertical roller. SOLUTION: The outer peripheral face of a horizontal roller 2 for web straightening of a roller straightening machine is tapered or crowned, the fillet part 13 of stock to be straightened is rolled down by a tapered part or crowned part. At the same time, a rolling force is applied from the flange outside face of stock to be straightened to a web part 11 by a vertical roller 3, the wide- flange beam is straightened. An arranging interval and the number of the horizontal rollers 2 and vertical rollers 3 are desirable to be arranged to each stage of conventional web rolling down rollers, but it can be possible that a pair of the horizontal rollers 2/vertical rollers 3 are arranged to only the front stage having large load, and to the post stage, the web straightening roller or flange straightening roller of the same construction as a conventional one.

    • PURPOSE: To reduce the fluctuation of a water level in a first liquid storage tank so as to enable the feeding of a fixed quantity of liquid by floating the first liquid storage tank, in which a liquid for feeding equipment is stored, in a second liquid storage tank containing other liquid. CONSTITUTION: A first water storage tank 1 floats in the liquid of a second liquid storage tank 2 and moves up and down by the change in the water level of cooling water 3 stored. In order to suppress the horizontal vibration of the first water storage tank 1, a guide rail 13 and a guide roller 12 that rotates and moves thereon are provided between the tank 1 and the second liquid storage tank 2. Cooling water 3 flows into discharge piping 9 through a movable hose 8 and feeds water by opening and closing a control valve 9. When the first water storage tank consumes the cooling water 3 and becomes light in weight with the water level lowered, it rises as the part sunk in the second liquid storage tank 2 is reduced. The water level fluctuation in the first water storage tank 1 measured from a fixed point is smaller than its own water level fluctuation. Thus, water feeding with a fixed water pressure and quantity is made possible.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the straightening effect and the reducing effect of the residual stress by giving the slight rolling reduction function to a horizontal roller of a roller straightening machine, and straightening a work to be straightened through slight rolling reduction when the work is slightly reduced. SOLUTION: A work 20 to be straightened is straightened by a roller straightening machine 1. Rolls 3, 4 on the inlet side and rolls 10, 11 on the outlet side are provided with a roll pitch changing device so that the slight rolling reduction can be performed by moving an upper roll and a lower roll to approximately same position. Intermediate rolls 5-9 are located in a staggered manner. The rolls 3, 4, 10, 11 can be used in a staggered arrangement in a normal condition. When a work 20 to be straightened with large bend is straightened, the rolls 3, 4, 10, 11 are moved by the roll pitch changing device to set the upper and lower rolls opposite to each other to realize the arrangement of a slight rolling reduction mill. The large bend of the work 20 is straightened by the rolls 3, 4 on the inlet side, and further straightened by the repeated bend by the intermediate rolls 5-9 arranged in a staggered manner, and the whole work is straightened by the rolls 10, 11 on the outlet side.
