摘要： PURPOSE:To obtain stably Cu-C fiber composite material free of flocculation of C fibers in working a bundle of Cu-coated C fibers into Cu-C fiber composite material by hot press or the like by compounding the Cu coating surface after oxidation and further by reducing Cu oxides. CONSTITUTION:A bundle 1 of many pieces of C fiber coated with Cu by plating or another method is passed through a guide 2 then through a furnace 3 with an oxidizing atmosphere to oxidize the Cu coating surface. The bundle is passed through graphite rolls 5 in an N2 atmosphere, pressurized there while heated to 1,000 deg.C and above by the rolls 5 to which a large current is sent from electrifying terminals 4, and fed in the direction of the arrow so as to manufacture a long size Cu-C fiber complex. The complex is cut into desired length and copper oxide is reduced in an H2 atmosphere, so that the high strength Cu-C fiber composite material free of flocculation of C fibers and having sound composite structure can be manufactured.

摘要： PURPOSE:To produce the casting mold capable of producing a casting which is free from the casting defects occurring in a packing behavior by making computer evaluation of the the packing behavior of the molten metal in the cavity of the casting mold and optimizing the casting mold shape with respect to molten metal flow. CONSTITUTION:The plural representative points expressed by an Euler coordinate system are set in the cavity of the casting mold. On the other hand, the free surface position of the molten metal is expressed by a Lagrange coordinate system. The intersected point position of the straight line connecting the above-mentioned representative points and the above-mentioned free surface is determined and the free surface positions at the discreted time are indicated as the values of the representative points. The free surface position after the very small time is then calculated in accordance with the speed determined in the Euler coordinate system and the free surface of the molten metal is traced. The behavior of the free surface when the molten metal is packed into the casting mold is simulated by this tracing and the optimization is executed by repeating the correction of the casting mold shape until such a packing behavior of the molten metal which does not generate the defects based on the molten metal flow is obtd.

摘要： PURPOSE:To obtain an oxide superconducting material having scarce dispersion of superconducting characteristic and having high reliability by melting an oxide superconducting material in O2-contg. atmosphere, solidifying the material by cooling quickly to below a specified temp., and then heat-treating in O2-contg. atmosphere. CONSTITUTION:For example, each oxide of Y2O3, BaO, and Cu2O is weighed in specified mole fractions, and a crucible 2 provided with a cover 1, wherein said oxides are charged and a nozzle 5 is buried therein, is held at 1,550 deg.C by high frequency heating to melt the weighed oxides. O2 is then fed from an O2 source 6 by opening a valve 7 to stirr and enrich molten oxides with O2 sufficiently. Molten oxides are solidified by cooling quickly immediately thereafter while pressing simultaneously with a two belts quick cooling apparatus given in the drawing. The cooling velocity in this stage corresponds to a cooling velocity for cooling to below 50 deg.C within 0.5sec. An aimed oxide superconducting material is obtd. by heat-treating obtd. vitreous product in a heat-treating furnace in O2 atmosphere at, for example, 950 deg.C.
