    • PURPOSE:To unnecessitate the providing of a dedicated detection means for performing an original detection and to simplify the constitution of a device by providing a light quantity changing means operating by interlocking with the moving operation of an original in the process of a reading optical path. CONSTITUTION:When an original is fed within a reader, an original detection switch 40 operates and notifies the original feeding to a CPU 32. The CPU 32 detects this original feeding and starts the reading of the original. At this time, the original is eliminated on an original reading surface and the most part of the light from an LED light source is directed to a CCD element 6. The part of an optical path is provided with the optical path changing plate of an original detection plate and the part of the image read by the CCD element 6 is dimmed. When the carriage of the original is advanced and the original detection plate is depressed, the dimmed part is eliminated in the image read by the CCD element 6. When the reading of the original is proceeded, the rear end of the original reaches the original detection plate and the original detection plate is released, the part of the read image detected by the CCD 6 is dimmed again.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent a cartridge from being inserted to an information processing device while being upside down. CONSTITUTION:A shutter member 3 is movable in the upper rightward direction in the figure along the front edge part 1a of a case, and when it is moved in this direction, an opening part 5 of the case is opened. When the disk cartridge 1 is inserted into the information processing device 100 upside down as shown in the figure, a lever 101 is engaged with a recessed part 7 provided on the shutter member 3 in this moving direction, and this state becomes to be in obstacle, so the cartridge for the disk can not be furthermore inserted to the information processing device 100. When the disk cartridge 1 is properly inserted to the information processing device 100, the disk cartridge 1 is in the state being upside down to the one shown in the figure, and the lever 101 is abutted on the end part of the shutter member 3 located at the lever abutting position 6, therefore, in company with the further insertion of the cartridge 1, the lever 101 is driven to make the shutter member 3 move, then the opening part 5 is opened.

    • PURPOSE:To enable the use of a cut paper without detaching a machine glazed paper by rotating a carrying roller only in a direction where the rolled paper is removed from a recording section, and after removing the rolled paper from the recording section, feeding the cut paper to the recording section for making recording on it. CONSTITUTION:Rolled paper 6 is fed by rotating a carrying roller 32 and a platen 31. In the case where the paper 6 is fed in a direction designated by an arrow A, namely a direction for recording, the roller 32 and the platen 31 are rotated in the direction (a) of rotation. When they are rotated in the direction (b) of rotation opposite to a direction in the case of recording, the rolled paper 6 is fed in a direction designated by an arrow B. When they are continuously rotated in the rewinding direction, the tip of the paper 6 gets out of a space between a thermal head 30 and a platen roller 31, and the paper 6 is therefore carried by the driving force of only the carrying roller 32. Thus the paper 6 can be removed from a recording section. A cur paper 7 can be recorded by rotating only the platen roller 31 in the direction (a) of rotation with the paper 6 removed from the recording section.

    • PURPOSE:To improve the lack of recording density and to accurately reproduce information by controlling the printing energizing time of a thermal head corresponding to a code amount stored in a reception buffer memory for tentatively storing the transmitted information. CONSTITUTION:Code data stored in the reception buffer memory 3 are decoded to picture data at a decoding circuit 5, the counted value of a counter 4 is updated for the decoded code amount and the picture data are transferred to the thermal head 8. In this case, at the time of reproducing the picture data on thermosensitive recording paper, the counted value of the counter 4 is fetched to a microcomputer 6 and when the counted value is equal to or less than a prescribed value, the microcomputer 6 controls a thermal head energizing time control circuit 7, prolongs the energizing time of the thermal head 8 and secures the recording density. Also, when the counted value of the counter 4 is larger than the prescribed value, the thermal head energizing time control circuit 7 is controlled similarly, the energizing time of the thermal head 8 is shortened and the overflow of the reception butter memory 3 is prevented.

    • PURPOSE:To correct anisotropy of laser light emitting from a semiconductor laser without increasing number of parts in an optical head by using two prisms of different refractive indices for a beam splitter for beam shaping. CONSTITUTION:An isotropic light beam 2 emitted from a semiconductor laser 1 which is the light source of linearly polarized light is changed into parallel incident light 4 by a collimator lens 3, enters a beam splitter 5 through the incident surface 5a with an oblique angle where the beam is shaped. Since two prisms 5b, 5d which constitute the beam splitter 5 have different refractive indices from each other, the incident surfaces 5a and the beam splitting surface 5c have an effect of beam shaping, and thus, the beam 2 is changed into isotropic for any direction and exits from the exit surface 5e. The beam 2 is now a first irradiating light 10, reflected by a mirror 6, focused by an objective lens 7, and made to irradiate the recording surface 8 of a disk 8. By this constitution, anisotropy of semiconductor laser light can be corrected without using more parts in the optical head.
