    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet pressing device capable of preventing generation of a defect, such as bend, at the corner part of a curved sheet without requiring size increase of the device even when deformation occurs in which the sheet, on which a fixing process is performed by a fixing device, is curled in the direction crossing the conveyance direction of the sheet; and to provide an image forming apparatus using the sheet pressing device. SOLUTION: The sheet pressing device includes a plurality of pressing members 40C and a support member. The plurality of pressing members are provided at the downstream side in the discharging direction of a fixing means which performs a fixing process over a sheet having an unfixed image transferred thereto. The plurality of pressing members press both ends of the sheet in the direction along a surface of the sheet fixed by the fixing means and also in the direction crossing the discharging direction. The support member supports the plurality of pressing members 40C movably in such a direction as to approach or separate from the sheet when the sheet passes through the plurality of pressing members 40C.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably perform fixing on a recording medium, such as an envelope, while suppressing the occurrence of unnecessary wrinkles. SOLUTION: The fixing device includes: a heat roll; an endless belt; and a pressing body forming a pressure contact portion by pressing the endless belt against the peripheral portion of the heat roll from the internal circumferential side of the belt.
